Guys i need your suggestion to buy a LED rechargeable Flashlight

I’m looking to buy a Flashlight for my uncle, and am looking at a flashlight which has a charger built in or maybe can use D-Cell/AA/ Alkaline batteries.
I want something not very heavy and big, but size up-to 12 inches long, Single LED flashlights preferred. Looking at Chinese options too, but i don’t see many with a charger built in.
I want something like the fenix tk70 or nitecore TM15 or replacement D-Cell Flashlight like the Maglite.
is there something i’m missing, can you suggest me on a few lights i may have missed.

MagLite ML125

The Maglite looks nice, and its abt the right size i’m looking for, but in the end its again a Maglite, any other options similar to Maglite ??

Zanflare F1. Solid light, 18650 cell, usb rechargeable, standard tubelight, easy to hold and use. Got, like.

2×AA: Zanflare F2, Jaxman M2. Ain’t got, but just throwing out suggestions.

+1 for Zanflare F1

Spam on a five year old message. Since the original question is from 2012 I’m thinking they either already bought a light or lost interest.

Still might help anyone looking for such a thing today

Yeah, lots of dust on this thread.

Personally I really don’t like anything that has sub circuits and such built in. In this case a built in charger. If the charger poops itself there goes the light eventually. So I much prefer separate units that are easily replaced. That goes for built in cells to. Also, built in chargers require an outside connection that might not be as water resistant as the rest of the light. I understand the attraction but IMO it’s a bad idea. It’s definitely not for me. Another advantage of replaceable cells is that it’s easy to carry spares in a case.

In keeping with my spec’s, the Manker Mk41 is a very versatile light that will take any AA format cell. But with no built in charger. It’s a really nice mini soda can light with an easy to learn UI and even with NiMh AAs or primary Li cells the performance is admirable. Primary alkalines are OK for emergencies only if one wants to keep the light working, then remove them before they leak.

I’d go with the Wowtac A1 for reliability reasons. Having the charging circuitry in the battery avoids the problems with having a more delicate host.
