Fenix TK35 style clones

Triggered by the awesome Jetbeam PA40 (4xAA), I am now very fond of parallel (physical as in side-by-side)) tube designs.

I really like the overall construction of the Fenix TK35 (2x18650 parallel) and the availability of neutral tints a lot, but not so much its price point.

There are several "clones" and "similar" flashlights out there. I assume all these clones have the same driver but the Chinese random spec generator has done a great job of making them appear different?

Attack of the clones:

Tmart clone for $26.63 (black anodizing, 5 modes, 2 strobes) UniqueFire UF-F10

Meritline clone for $30 (black anodizing, 4 modes, no strobes) Small Sun ZY-T92

Manafont clone for $30.80 (black anodizing, 4 modes, no strobes) W777

New-117 DX clone $ 36.80 (black anodizing, 4 modes, no strobes)

New-117 DX clone $ 33.40 (grey anodizing, 4 modes, no strobes)

New-117 DX clone $ 33.30 (red anodizing, 4 modes, no strobes)

New-117 DX clone $ 33.40 (green anodizing, 4 modes, no strobes)

Kaidomain clone for $35.92 (black anodizing, 4 modes, 1 strobe)

Fancy Flashlights clone for $39 (black anodizing, 6 modes, 2 hidden strobes)

Similar to Fenix TK35:

SMALL SUN ZY-T08 @ Manafont for $26.26 Manafont (black anodizing, 5 modes, 2 strobes)

SMALL SUN ZY-T08 @ DX for $29.30 Manafont (black anodizing, 5 modes, 2 strobes)

UF T60 $73.40 + Ship @SZW (black anodizing, 3 modes, no strobes)

UltraFire UF-T60 @HKE $80 (black anodizing, 3 modes, no strobes)

Are there more models or better prices out there?

UltraFire UF-T60

I will add DrJones makes an amazing UI for these lights.

Also does anyone know where you can get a spare lense for these things? I broke mine...

Anyone noticed the striking external resemblance between the UltraFire UF-T60 and the SMALL SUN ZY-T08? But internals seem to be different though: UF-T60 is electrical in series with carrier and the ZY-T08 electrical parallel without carrier.

Is this true for all of them? I'd get one anyway if they didn't start in low.

How about this :

That's the question, I would assume that all the clones are essentially the same... especially if you compare the user reviews on DX/Meritline and KD... they pretty much repeat 2100s observations.

ive seen the older t6 version for below 80 dollars now that the u2 version is out, id say just get the real version

Thanks, added.

Pros for the real version would be the current-controlled circuit opposed to the rather low PWMs on the clones (124-137 Hz) and the similars (244Hz) lights and that it is available in neutral 4B tint. And on the other hand I could do a "DrJones mod" and neutral XM-L emitter swap to a clone and still have lots of money left for a second one.

another one from tmart

Personally I ordered the NEW-117 in gray from DX and got most probably the right model but in black color… It was a bit scratched so I polished the ring and modded it to pull 3,1A to LED on high. It was 2A before I modded it and it was bright enough! It seems to be only a bit brighter after the mod. There was also one O-ring missing so it wasn’t waterproof. It has a nice white tint and noticeable PWM on low.

Thanks ... also added

Always starts on low, no memory. I think it might have strobe modes but there hidden.
The price you have marked is right, though I don’t remember where I ordered from.
2 amps sounds about right for the brightness too. 550-600 lumens otf would be my guess.

Feels clunkier than the Pa40 but still feels good in the hand.

(Ill double check to see if it does have hidden strobe tomorrow)

The strobe and SOS are hidden on the Manafont one.

I think they are all the same.

nice share guys thanks.
I wonder if the small sun ZY-T08 and the new-117 perform equally. :quest:

And yes, my NEW-117 has hidden strobes, too. It has perfect heat sinking, robust aluminium reflector and solid pill.

How would an XPG2 throw in one of these clones, that’s what I’m wondering. These under driven XML lights may be good hosts for slightly overdriven XPG2 emitters with better throw.
