Today I began to sort out my flashlight drawer disaster...an on going project.

As more and more lights arrive, the formally organized flashlight drawer has become a snake pit jumble of lights and sheaths that I can hardly close anymore. Today I took my first baby step in reforming it. I know it's just a spit in the bucket, but its given me a vision of a forward direction that I can take. I started out with my single cell AA and CR123 Eagletacs. Tomorrow I'll organize something else. I know it smacks of "anal", but I like it.

You need a curio.

It would just end up being like my drawer, but with a glass front. I think it’s a bachelor thing.

Okay, it’s a simple solution but now I’ve got all my Sunwayman in one place where I can find them.

The drawer is still a disaster, but I think I’m heading in the right direction. Tomorrow I’ll work on something else. Maybe AAA or utility CR123.

You're making me jealous, with all those premium brand lights. :P

I envy admire your Sunwayman collection. 8)

They look nice, and organized in the little cases. . But I must state that they do not look like they get used at all. They look like shelf queens.

Yeah, shelf queens are bad. Maybe a giveaway is in order. ;)

Don’t worry, they get rotated every day. It just takes a while to get through the rotation. Sometimes I carry three lights and three knives just to get the sequence moved along. In fact I’m heading out the door right now packing a D25A clicky, a Nitecore MT1C, an illegal laser, and two Benchmade knives.

What should I do with these?

Uhhh, bend over and let them illuminate where the sun don’t shine? J) I got a couple as conference give-aways. Then I promptly gave them away to people that I don’t like…

I give them to the ladies. They love them.

You have some very nice lights. Latter ones excluded of course.

Thanks.
Budget lights can be nice too. I just look at my budget differently. I figure that if I don’t buy three $19 Ultrafire lights, I can buy a Sunwayman. It’s still budget, but managed in a way that suits my needs.
I have no modding skills, so most inexpensive lights that modders can buy and improve would be frustrating to me. Modders love lights that come apart easily, and minor problems are just something that is going to be replaced or rebuilt anyway. They love a good conundrum.
I have no skills or patience, so I rely on models that I hope will be sturdy and reliable. It’s a matter of need….and a touch of addiction.

“In fact I’m heading out the door right now packing a D25A clicky, a Nitecore MT1C, an illegal laser, and two Benchmade knives…”

What do ya do, ‘pack’ them in a mink coat side pocket? And those lights were ‘jumbled’ in a snake pit of a drawer too eh? Uh, huh.

If those torches and knife previously got jumbled into an ungodly mess and ‘used’ at all then I’m the Princess of F**g Wales. :open_mouth:

Everyone of them is in a pouch, so it’s a matter of rummaging around to find what I’m looking for and throwing the rest back in. That’s why I’m reorganizing. It was a lot easier before the addiction set in.
I always wear tactical pants so pocket space isnt any problem. Every light can have its own pocket so wear and tear is nil. I live and work in the city, so small EDC don’t go through much turmoil. Pull it out, look at what you want to see and put it back in its pocket.

The ETs look sharp in that wee Pelican case.

I’m also in the middle of organizing my folding knife collection. By the time I’ve finished this case should be almost full. And yes, many of these are shelf queens. Discontinued numbered editions that rarely see pocket time. I haven’t purchased any knives for a while because my flashlight addiction took over. Besides, although flashlights don’t increase in value like knives do, they are a hell of a lot cheaper to collect.

‘cause by the condition of those lights before it started to “smack of anal” I’d say those were already some pretty dam* coddled lights. Yeah, I can just see you ’throwing’ them back in.

That is a really nice project you have going on here. I sure would take good care of such little gems too!
