FENIX TK45 clone - with U2s and 2 x 26650 batteries!! UniqueFire K107

Now this has caught my eye, FENIX TK45 clone with U2’s and takes 2 x 26650 batteries. I’ve always digged the barrel design of the TK45, but price and AA batteries put me off.

Now this, I’m tempted……

Now there is a light that got me excited. Looks like an improvement to the TK45 in things that matter.

I hate aliexpress but if another seller had it, I would buy one. Fast tech should carry them.

I was excited, too, but this one has a tailcap clicky only, should be quite unhandy at that size.

Yeah I’m no fan of Aliexpress. Usually they are the first to pick up a new light, and these lights tend to gravitate to other sellers. Be interesting if CNQG or another decent seller takes it up.

I’m no fan of the Fenix TK45. But I am a huge Fenix fan. A person would be better off just getting a Fenix TK41 vs the TK45 for an all around better flashlight in my opinion.

Did you notice its got a spacer and runs off two 18650 as well.

Like the look but would want to see some beamshots and runtimes first….

That is the same as three 2100's strapped together. The beam must suck at everything.

Lumen: High mode:4500lumens/ Middle mode:3800Lumens/ Low mode:1200Lumens (integrating sphere measured lumens)

Somebody needs a serious recalibration of their IS.

Depends on what you’re after though isn’t it? Some people like floody lights, me in particular as they are highly practical for cycling. If this thing produces a 3x2100 beam profile then it would produce a serious wall of light.

Chinese Lumens seem to be 1200L per emitter these days (probably the max for the latest U2 or U3 bins?). Looks like they got their own math wrong, although we know better. I’d be happy with around 1400L OTF on high, more if it can take the heat.

Previous thread here. I do like the design and would consider it if I knew I would be able to swap with neutral or warm XMLs. The >6000K tints don't do it for me.

Also available from qualitychinagoods with some additional photos. Claimed output measurements from IS are a little more believable (High mode:1790lumens/ Middle mode:1350Lumens/ Low mode:700Lumens).

I agree the lack of a side switch makes this somewhat undesirable.

I'm curious, where is mentioned these are U2's?

Thanks for the original link, must of missed that one. Interesting, they’ve changed the description from U2 to normal XML’s. They were definitely U2 in the original description, perhaps they saw this link and decided not to falsely advertise??? Good to know BLF has such a reputation.

lightmalls has a version as well…Think its a Skyray, $60

Just a note, I received my Tangsfire version from TMart, and have a preliminary description at the end of the original post HERE

Anyone know a source for this light from a regular seller like Fasttech or Wallbuys?

Umm…Tmart is a regular seller: http://www.tmart.com/CREE-T6-30W-3800LM-3-LED-Flashlight-Black-7.4V-8.6V_p186266.html

DX has the RUstu version but it looks identical: http://dx.com/p/rustu-rk7-3-x-cree-xm-l-t6-2200lm-5-mode-white-flashlight-black-2-x-18650-194496

I love this light… I can’t help it. But one of the 3 LEDs stopped working. I can’t find a break in the wiring anywhere, so I’m assuming it’s just a burnt out LED, even though it doesn’t appear to have any damage. Has anyone who has one of these variants replaced or repaired one of the LED stars or wiring? I figured the easiest thing to do would be to just order a replacement star with XM-L module already intact, but I have no idea where to start. Or would it be better to start with replacing the incredibly tiny gauge wiring between the star and the driver?

Too substantial a torch to just shelve it and let it go to waste.

Thanks!
