New cheap 2xAAA flashlight with XR-E Q3 for 8.4$

Hi BLF!

I have spotted today in the DX “new arrivals” a new cheap 2xAAA light which has caught my attention and I tought that it was worth to mention here.

It seems that will work only with 2xAAA and not with 1xAAA due to the voltage range.
The reflector seems deeper and wider than others AAA lights (will throw more).
It has 5 modes (High, Med, Low, FastStrobe, SlowStrobe)

The price: 8.40$. Probably I will buy and try.

But… maybe it will have hollow pill. It says that reflector is aluminum and lens is glass… but, you know, DX specs can not be trusted… also regulated to 1000mA…

Opinions?

Just only wanted to share.

Thanks!

Wow! I have to say, I was expecting the usual penlight format. This looks like a neat little light. :)

I like it, like a mini trustfire t1 8)

Yes, it reminded me to a “mini-C8”… similar shape than a C8 in miniature

I think it's a SmallSun

yes, how2. There is a small sun somewhere with the same “appealing” but If I am not wrong that small sun uses generic chinese led… This one uses CREE XR-E maybe Q3… And the small sun can be found about 5$…

Hmmm I think this one will have hollow pill and bad switch. Too good for 8.4$, I think

EDIT: there is only 1 way to know. Maybe I will order it this weekend if I find photos of the pill

IMHO, one of the main advantages of a 2xAAA light is a slim form factor. This one has quite a large head on it. Might as well just get a 2xAA and get longer runtimes.

Interesting, now wheres 2AA C8 version :D?

Bingo! What’s the point? The entire reason to make a 2 AAA light is to make it slim as it doesn’t have any other advantage.

Between the large head and the stupid blinky modes, they ruined this light.

Do not want.
