What we have is a very simple , small , functional , light -weight , AAA EDC flashlight that actually performs really well , is well thought out , and executed really well . I must confess to be being impressed by the thought that went into the creation of this light , as it should appeal to a great segment of society , including those in the flashlight community . Now even if this is a clone , then imitation is the greatest form of flattery , and at least some effort went into making it a good one .

I have nothing negative to say , honestly , there is nothing to complain about . Its almost disappointing that there is nothing wrong with this light , because I would have something to write about .

What we have is a 2 mode twisty , that starts in low every time . Low produces some 4L and consumes some 0.06A [ thats 60mAh ] , so if you have a 700mAh battery , that will return some eleven and a half hours of run time , or the proverbial - all night long . High is the second mode and produces some 50L + [ obviously variable depending on battery ] and consumes some 0.4A [ thats 400mAh ] and some one and a half hours on paper - run time .

The way the light has been designed , it should work with almost any battery length . In fact the battery is designed to float in the body , and only make contact at one end when not turned on . When you twist to turn on you are in effect making the internal space smaller until the battery contacts both ends , turning on the light . This is simplicity at its best . No anodizing , not figuring out dimensions , and no critical machining . Just make it to some generous tolerances , and it works , the manufacturer has an easy time of it , and the customer is happy because he or she has a trouble free functioning light that does not spit the dummy at an overly long battery , or a short one perhaps . I do have some AAA that are very short , and the flashlight just by a cats whisker , works with them . You can not put a spring in the tail end as the body is part of the electrical path , if you wished to put in a spring ? It would need to be in the head pushing the battery down into the body . But what would you want to do that ?

I did go for a walk with this light , and as soon as I put it into my pocket it vanished , I could feel nothing . In fact several times I had to tap my pocket just to make sure it was still there , this little light is trully EDC in the finest tradition of EDC. You will see in the picture a place for a lanyard , or Carbiner or something . You could wear it on a belt loop [ carbiner ] or attach it to your key ring , I mean on your key ring you would never be without a flashlight . In fact this one was purchased with the express intention of going on my car keys . I have a small carbiner some where , and this is going to be my Key light .

PWM in low - none in High that I could see

Well centered emitter

Good output for current draw

Well made - clean threads

Nice knurling

Easy to use

Over tightening can make it stop functioning - Dont over tighten

Generous with battery selection

May work with 10440 [ I like this light - so some one else can verify ] I like it plenty with a nimh LSD [ Dont want to Turbo it ]

Nice review. Thanks for your time!

Do you have DQG to compare this with?

Is it really titanium? What do you think?

Thanks for the review!

What's the exact (+0.001g) weight?

ITP A3 Ti weighs 14.461g :P

11.54g [ grams ]

As for Titanium ? Id have to have metallurgical testing done . I have a block of pure Titanium here at home , as to whether this is Titanium , or has a % ?? Sorry guys

What ever it is , it looks to be high grade ... And damned strong !

Sorry no DQG

It is a beautifull light, thanks for the review.

Now I indeed need a full comparison to the DQG III , I desperately need an excuse to buy this one as well

That's a beauty - I'm becoming a big fan of bare metal EDC lights. At $20 I seriously doubt this is titanium and Manafont's use of 'texture' in the description sounds a long like 'mimic' used with other items they sell. Price is right too. Thanks for posting, nice review.

at cnqg it is claimed to be made of ss

It could be SS , I ran a diamond hone over it , and Id say it feels like stainless steel , sounds like SS when twisting together , but it weighs ?

The weight is Light for SS ... What ever it is - I can live with it

Can you give dimensions?

300 lumens and made by titanium??

OD = 0.490thou

Length = 2.340thou

Battery in electric metric calipers is dead , only have imperial dial calipers - Need to order more batteries ..

Hi folks,
As far as i know, the DQG III is regulated.
What about this clone ? Regulated also or direct drive ?

That's a pretty flash light you have tested. Would it be possible to get a hand shot to put it in perspective size wise for me. I don't have any AAA lights but I'm interested. Cheers.

spooky hand!

The size is as smal as it can be. I find the body of my DQG III a little too thin to my liking, this light looks to be just a bit more robust. And being ultrafire: it is moddable (to XPG2...), the DQG isn't.

Compare to a AA battery. Slightly (~3/8”) longer.

Thanks. That is one tiny light. Now if it was half the price?

Can it be operated with ONE hand easily and reliably?

What’s the light in the center? The one with the clicky.
