SureFire 2211 - I want one - but only at 50% off!

The cops are real in this video.

I don’t know if this is practical, and I don’t think I’d wear it for EDC, but I think it’d be handy for hiking at night, etc.

But the price! ($499.00)

I guess SF has to be able to pay for videos like this:

Sure would be nice if we knew what you are talking about. :p Have a link to share? :D

Edit: There you go! :)

Oops! Fixed. Sorry.

Wow! Looks like he left the kid keep his other $200 Surefire torch. Mighty generous of him. They must pay the officers better than I thought. :p

No way that cheesy little wrist light was putting out the amount of light in some of those scenes.

Looks like a good idea, but 180 lumens??? Is this 2005? This is SOOOOO Surefire. Overpriced and underperforming…

Close-ups:

thanks, surefire, for giving me build ideas

as cool as that is, I wouldn’t buy that at 75% off - you just need a wristband with a loop for your flashlight…

I’m definitely not getting one, but I bet it’s built like a tank…

Description:

Developed with input from active-duty cops, the ambidextrous SureFire 2211 WristLight straps securely to your support-hand wrist and utilizes a virtually indestructible high-performance LED and specially developed optic to unleash 180 lumens of wide, brilliant light with a press of either of two ergonomic switches. In close-quarter armed engagements, this is more than enough light to overwhelm an aggressor and properly identify and assess threats to make more-informed decisions. The 2211 is constructed of lightweight hard-anodized aerospace aluminum and features an adjustable nylon band that is durable and holds the light securely in place. It is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery with a built-in LED fuel gauge that lets you know when it’s time to recharge—which is simply done by using the included USB cable. The 2211 was built for the streets but it’s available to anyone who demands an innovative, hands-free tactical illumination tool.

Star Trek Voyager, c.1999:

BAHHhahhhaha

It almost looks like a 10mm white superbright LED in there.

LOL! 13 years behind the curve or 500 years ahead of everyone else? I’m sure they (SureFire and CPF) would say the latter while we all know the former.

sure does - i imagine they are pretty indestructible lol

looks like you can get a giant watch that fits on it

That's why there aren't any fins, a 10 mm LED doesn't need them. ;)

$200? 180lumen? Might as well gaffer tape a Zippo to your wrist and be done…. I can imagine assailants will be dazzled, they’ll be p*g themselves at what a dork you look…. :expressionless:

Actually seems like an idea that maybe police and military could use. I love my hands free headlamps and for a few seconds I thought maybe this could work as a work light or camping but it won’t.

Even if it is well made and someone had a use for it, $500 is just silly. You can get a lot for $500.

I keep thinking a belt buckle lamp would be useful camping. but my camping belt buckle is a bottle opener, so I haven’t made one to try yet.

maybe i’ll add LEDs to the eyes

I want one, but not at Surefire prices.

Too bad Stanley LeD watch is pointing the wrong way

I want that light. I know it’s crazy money, but the sad thing is….I’m gonna save for it. The idea of wearing a wrist light is perfect. At least I know it will be backed with a really good warranty.
