I received an Exduct order today. It seems shipping from various Hong Kong vendors has been pretty fast lately. 12 days from order. I got a Sanrenmu 909 and a Ganzo G704. These are great knives. Nice and big, super sharp. The 909 is mine and the Ganzo is my sons. Time to retire my Leatherman from EDC duty, I'm carrying the 909.

I got mine from them a few days ago and I'm quite happy with it too. It opens very easily and I think the green G10 is very attractive. Today I got the 962 I bought off eBay - just before they appeared at DB for half the price I paid.Yell But it's a nice knife and I don't mind too much. My first with a 'spidey' hole. I think I may get a few more of the 900 series before they become hard to find.

Got 2 packages from Manafont: A Palight C8 with an XP-G R5 emitter in it, and an Ultrafire U 20 with the same emitter in it.

Hopefully the U20 can run 14500's.

Rats, finally sold my 2010 509hp Mustang...now I can buy more lights!

Sold the red one too! Now guess what I drive, doing my penance for 500 hp commuters...

Well, I just ordered one of these . . .

http://www.manafont.com/product_info.php/cree-mce-led-3mode-memory-led-dropin-module-p-5517

. . . and 2 of these.

http://www.manafont.com/product_info.php/cree-q5-3mode-led-dropin-module-3742v-p-6096

I want to gain some experience with other emitters.  I was surprised at how few low voltage XR-E drop-ins I was able to find.  (in the 10 minutes I was willing to invest looking)

So, what I think I've got on the way is:

U2 from Kaidomain

T6 from Manafont

MCE from Manafont

XR-E from Manafont (x2)

Nothing today! CryCryCry

The other day my postie  (on a bike) drove up to my door (I have a driveway and path that goes right to my front door) and handed me a package. Bummer it wasn't my missing order from manafont but it was an xm-l drop in!

Foy,  agree, XR-E's are getting hard to find. Ebay has a few and so does solarforce-sales.

A package!

5x Ultrafire pressure switch

and

10x Switch replacement for flashlights rated 1.5A and 250V. Cannot check the manufacturer specs for unknown reasons Model 101. All seems ok and good soldering was involved.

I really like the pressure switches from MF!

Today I got a reminder that I should think first and act second. I took my L2X extended which I also got today (review will follow) and dropped in a 18650 battery. Only to find out I put my only drop-in (also today) in to my today-received L2. So, as a result a cracking sound followed, as I found out that without a drop-in, a 18650 will fit through the entire host all the way to the lens...

Couple of vittuperkele's (pretty extreme cursing in Finnish) later I headed to the now-too-familiar solarforce-sales to order some premium lenses.

I had to Google translate vittuperkele.  Although I have heard and said and read the English equivalent so many times that it doesn't faze me, I just hope there are no impressionable Finnish kids on the forum.  Laughing

Spoiler alert:

I've done that with 1x18650 hosts but I don't think the shorter length gave quite enough time for the battery to reach a speed that would break the lens. I've bought a bunch of AR coated lenses from KD, so I have a lot of the original lenses as extras now.

I got a nice Black Cat light (in red) and it WAS FREE! Shipping was also FREE, and it got here in just two 3 days!

(thanks Boaz!)  Very cool light, lots of throw.  I just have to figure out how to attach it to a keychain..

My Solarforce L2i came today with the $2.50 stainless bezel. This L2i came from solarforce sales and was ordered after an L2 from itc-shop on ebay. The L2 is still out there. We'll see if it beats the L2P that I ordered last from SF sales.

This is a great light. I do feel a little nervous when I tighten it up with an 18650 in it but it works well. I wish I could see inside. I ordered the $2.50 bezel with this one and the L2. I ordered the $5 bezel with the L2P. I dont know about the $5 one yet but I think the less expensive one kind of blows. First I had hell getting it on. There must have been a burr on there somewhere. The standard bezel screwed on nice and the stainless one would screw on backwards but not the way it was supposed to. I ran it on the wire wheel of my grinder a lot and lubed it with CLP and was finally able to wrangle it on. Once it was on I thought it kind of gives the end of the light an unfinished look because there is a gap between the bezel and head when looking at the lense. I think The other bezel covers that up. Maybe I was so frustrated getting the POS on that I am being overly critical. We'll see in the morning.

The light itself is just great though. Everything is so nice. I cant wait for the others to show up.I put a manafont 3 mode XM-L in it. I wish I could buy another drop in but that one is so awsome I cant bring myself to do it.

I got two Xp-G drop-ins from Solarforce-Sales.com

One is a 3-mode, and one is a single mode. Nice that they label them with all the information on the reflector.

Also got 2 of the $2.50 bezels mentioned in the above post. I like them WAY more then the crenalated bezel on my L2.

I like that bezel better than the stock one for sure but I'm hoping the $5 is better. I just checked my orders and see that both of the bezels I have coming are the $5 one so I'm happy about that. I can't wait to get some time to attack the stock bezel with the sander!

Today I got two gunmetal gray Solarforce L2i hosts that I plan on giving away once I grind down the bezels and fit them out with some neutral XP-G drop-ins.

Also got another SOIC8 clip for programming Atmel chips on driver boards and am sad to report that it is just as ineffective as the first one, although this one seems a little better made (both were blue Pomona clips from the same eBay supplier). I *might* try getting a new programming board just in case that's where the problem lies. Then I'm done with all of that I'm afraid.

Also this weekend I got a USB-to-everything power adapter from DX for my crank radio's USB power jack. Unfortunately this combination doesn't work with my iPod, fairly old cell phone, or even my Palm (which I don't use anymore anyway). It did power my some other people's cell phones though. Might be neat to get a USB-powered battery charger and see if that works and how much cranking it would take to charge a battery (I'm thinking A LOT).

I got a black Solarforce L2i body and USB programmer. Still waiting for the clip, hope I come away with a winning ticket in the SOIC8 lottery.

A green laser in UF502B body showed up today from gadgettown. If you are looking for a laser that's maybe a little more powerful than the man thinks you should have, I'm just sayin.
