It's not easy bein green...

First purchase from Mouser. Nice packaging!

XR-E R2 Green (going in uf-T20 zoomies)
SSR-90 Green (going in 7g5v2…or torchlite svd7…we’ll see)

Please add later some beamshots or even video on how well they look IRL :D!

That SST-90 would make a great hunting light, and would be really sweet in the 7g5.I don't have the 7g5,would the heatsinking be adequate?Either way, looks like a nice bunch of coyote lights,I'd like to see them when you are done.

I’ll do some beamshots for sure.

would have done better photos of that sst-90 but camera battery was dead so i used my phone.

The 7g5v2 is surely not adequate for full power for very long at all. We’re going to find out how long that is, because i have the intl outdoor 9A driver here.

I doubt it will make 2 minutes on high before temp protection, and if it doesn’t, I’ll try 5A. If that goes more than about 10 minutes on high (which I doubt) then I’ll see what I can find somewhere in between.

I’m setting it up for someone else, and if they don’t want it, I’ll probably sell here, along w/ a second pill and white emitter.

Sounds like a cool project.Sorry if this question is redundant or already discussed, but is the IO driver a true 9a at the led?I have looked for one for awhile and find they only sqeeze out 6 or 7 amps.

I think i read someone say 6.5A out of it.

I’d actually prefer that - for this build.

I haven’t tested it myself yet, but I think you’d have to have a VERY low resistance setup to get to 9A,

ie short fat leads, copper switch, copper braid in springs, deoxidized threads, etc.
