Wow! Welcome to BLF Joan. That is an impressively wide variety of lights that you have there. I think you will probably enjoy it here because you'll likely find even more lights to add to your collection. Enjoy!
Welcome Jalbam. A very impressive collction... really. What did you have to promise your wife/girlfriend to "forgive" that house flashlight "infestation". :)
Okay, I could be wrong. In the U.S., Joan is usually female, but I don't know about Spain. Joan might be male. It's just that when I hear Joan, I automatically think "Joan of Arc". Regardless, Welcome to BLF, jalbam! You have an awesome flashlight collection. I hope you enjoy your stay here.
Edit: Darn it. I am totally wrong. I just googled jalbam and he is male. Sorry Joan.
I needed time to realize the name Consuelo was a normal spanish female name time ago. :) A very long time ago also felt a bit strange to me how the mostly US female name Coleen sounded. I would bet it was a male name like Collin at that time.
Spanish speaking countries have a few names that are prone to cause quite some confusion easily to the "uneducated". Like Rosario, Charo, Leonor, Lucinde, Lupe, Dulce, Milagros... A bit weird for non Spanish speakers eh? :)
About Jeanne d'Arc... in my native language it's called Ivana Orleanska. :) Beat that! XD
I thought the same that Joan was a woman which is how it is here in the states and even in the Philippines where I grew up. He probably has the 2nd most lights I've seen here. Don of course holds the BLF record with about 150 or so lights.
Hehehe I have thought about turn all of them on at same time, but I am lazy and at this time I don't have enough batteries for all of them :(
I have no idea how many I have, I counted in pic… maybe 115? I have some others which are not in the pics, so maybe I have about 130 or so.
The flashlight attached to the iPod nano is a simple radio, not a transmitter, and I bought it (from DealExtreme or Focalprice, I can't remember clearly) like this including the led so it's not modded at all.
Thanks for all of that private messages asking me for marriage, but I am male :P hehehe. I know Joan is female name in other places, but here it's not. Joan is Catalan language, in Spanish would be Juan, and in other languages Jean, Ivan, John… :) The famous painted you meant is Joan Miró.
My girlfriend is often annoyed because of me buying so many flashlights so I had to stop a little bit :P haha. She always ask why do I want and need so many. She claims she really hate them. So if I continue buying them maybe one day there won't be a better half :D hehehe.
That old lime-green flashlight uses a 4.5v battery (I think it's called 3R12, right?).
I am glad to found this great forum with great people.
