Why aren't there any 2AA penlights with clicky?

Looking at the Eagletac DA25a2 Mini, it is slim and looks great but it is a twisty. When they make it into a clicky, for some reason it has to be huge. The head is larger and there are various sections that they made larger near the tail for some reason.

If someone would make an ultra slim 2AA penlit with sturdy pocket clip and a forward clicky, it would sell very well to tradesmen.

Take the DA25a2 Mini, put in an XR-E or other good throwing emitter, make it a forward clicky that is easy to operated with gloves on, and cut the modes to just one or maybe a high and low of about 30 lumen and you would have the next Maglite Mini. It would sell more units than every 18650 light combined.

It’s an idea that is waiting to happen. Everyone keeps dancing around it without getting it right.

They’re called a Fenix L2P , and there are still some for sale on E-bay. No longer the latest and greatest, but they fit your description perfectly. I still have a couple, and use them all the time.
You might also want to check out the Klarus P2A.

How about this one?

E21

There's the LightStar300, LightStar220, and LightStar180 sold at Battery Junction.

Too bad the Terralux have reverse clickys and are 22.22mm (7/8'') wide. The EagleTac D25A2 beats it!

Here are some eBay offerings with no pocket clips...

Slim LED Flashlight - one mode

3W White LED - says ON/Off button, probably single mode

New 210LM Waterproof - looks to be Cree XR-E P4 emitter, on/off button

Dorcy 41-4255 1 Watt - 45 lm, ON/Off switch

Has a forward clicky and a sideswitch. Linky

I own a Klarus P2A and Fenix E-21. They are nice lights but not built to be slim and compact.

I am looking for something that is no larger than it needs to be. Increased diameter heads and extra material around the tail and body are not needed.

Look at the Maglite Mini-mag, the body is slightly larger than a AA cell. The head is enlarged but it doesn’t have to be.

Why can Maglite produce a slim AA light 20 years ago but nobody else can today? I want a straight body with no enlarged head and a body that is as SLIM as possible.

So essentially you want a CQG S2 in 2AA?

Bumping this thread because this is exactly what I'm looking for. Plus a pocket clip.

So far the next best thing seems to be the nitecore SENS AA2

Wonder if a FourSevens have another penlight in the pipeline. It could be a pretend white board marker.

1 mode with mystery emitter; about 30 to 50 lumens...

I don’t know if anyone suggested this one:
