I saw Once Upon a Deadpool (2018).

It's the PG-13 version of Deadpool 2 (2018).

Deadpool and Deadpool 2 are amazing films, but they're rated a hard R.

In Once Upon a Deadpool, there are extra scenes with Fred Savage kinda replaying his role in The Princess Bride.

The extra scenes are funny, but few and far between.

So if you've already seen Deadpool 2, there's little reason to watch Once Upon a Deadpool.

Also, in my opinion, the best version of Deadpool 2 is the Super Duper Cut.

I saw Sherlock Holmes (2009).

I love mysteries (that get solved), and this movie was a great one.

I also like Guy Ritchie films, and the actor Robert Downey Jr.

If you like mysteries, then definitely check this one out.

I saw Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows (2011).

It's an excellent movie, though I liked the first one more.

Part one is more mystery, and part two is more action.

Still, a great sequel.

I hope they make more of them.

American Beauty is my all time favourite. As a real estate agent, Carolyn’s motivation for selling a house has been a great example for me in my career. I always start the day saying ‘‘I will sell this house today’‘ like she says in the movie. Sometimes you could have difficult tasks like selling a hotel for sale in Canary Islands but as long as you keep yourself motivated and don’t sink into dispear you are always having a chance.

Cleavon Little was a genius, and he and Gene Wilder were brilliant together in the movie. As were Harvey Korman and Madeline Kahn. The racial epithets that Pryor and Brooks decided to include in the script disappointed me, but I do recognize it as a very creative and otherwise ground-breaking movie.

It just dawned on my lightening fast mind what the title of that movie really meant; it was good back then; it’s even gooder now.

Okay, I gotta move this from “What did I just watch?“ to “favorite movies of all time”.

In all its ’80s splendor and goodness…

I think I saw Gotcha! on TV at least a decade ago.

I don't remember how much I liked it, but I think I did enjoy it.

It was one of those movies like “Creator“ (wow, also 1985… there’s a shock) where you start watching it on teevee just ‘cause nothing else is on, and you’re instantly hooked and it becomes one of your favorites.

Well, at least it did with me.

I also caught “Creator” when it started as the late late late show at 0300, and watched it straight through ‘til 0500.

Looked for it forever in video stores ‘til I was able to special-order it at Beast Buy.

Another underrated (if not unknown) gem…

I saw Avengers: Endgame (2019).

I liked it a lot, as I have liked every movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

It's not the best in the MCU, but it's a worthy addition.

Lots of action in this one.

Not enough comedy, in my opinion.

This is a serious superhero film.

Just finished watching it now. Damn, over 3hrs!!

Other than vague/passing familiarity with some of the major players, I had no idea who’s who. Still, I liked it.

Damn, there were some hot chicks in that flick, though.

Who was the chick flinging red flameballs at Badguy? The whole “I lost everything” / “I don’t even know you” / “you will” one.

And Dragonfly Gril?

Funny, though. The end was like watching the Big Battle in “Narnia”. LOL

Wow, and I thought the Who-niverse was convoluted… Shocked

Okay, so “Endgame” followed “Infinity”, and I just saw an “Ultron” listed somewhere. Where should I start if I wanted to just catch the pix from a decent starting point, instead of being totally at sea for most of it?

I liked “Endgame”, but I imagine if I knew who most of them were, and their backstories, I would’ve liked it even more.

And all these people were listed in the credits for only like 5sec of cameo. Eg, Samu L Jackson with the eyepatch at the very end. Rene Russo was in it? I see her listed, but can’t for the life of me place her in the movie. Etc.

I would watch all the movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, in chronological order.

I know it's a pretty tall order, but they're all quite entertaining.

If you want to focus specifically on the Avengers story line it would probably be something like this:

Marvel’s The Avengers
Captain America: The Winter Soldier
Avengers: Age of Ultron
Captain America: Civil War
Thor: Ragnorak
Avengers: Infinity War
Avengers: Endgame

The first stand alone Iron Man, Thor & Captain America movies are all origin stories. So if you know the basic background of the characters you can survive without those.

The Guardians of the Galaxy is lot of fun, and Mantis comes from the second of those films. It’s actually my favorite sub-franchise. Rocket (the raccoon) has a scene in the first movie that exhibits more real emotion than just about any other Marvel film (which should give some indication of their ‘depth’ or lack thereof).

Basically all of the characters from the various movies get some sort of role in the Infinity War & Endgame (Ant Man, Dr. Strange, even Spider Man) and all have their own original stories. Black Panther first shows up in Civil War so you shouldn’t be confused about his & Wakanda’s (his home country) role in things if you miss his stand alone movie (which is admitted pretty good, minus a terrible CGI fight finale).

There aren’t any crazy “reboots” or anything, are there? Like The Bat Man was originally The Bat Woman before The Operation, or anything?

Eg, reading the entry about The Scarlet Witch, she’s Hot Leather Chick in the movie, has a pic of her in a red devil costume like you’d get from Gearbest for Hallowe’en, and is described in text as pretty much wearing a nun-suit. Like, which one’s “right”?

And since when does The Spider Man (or -Boy) have huge spider legs growing out of his back?? Never saw or heard of that ever before…

And those Chinese fellas with the “fire shields”?

Oh, and who was the gril (main character, evidently) who appeared at the end and just punched big big holes through Thanos’s spaceship and killed it dead? (And where was she before that, when everyone else was getting his arse kicked? LOL )

I saw Apocalypse Now Redux (1979).

Despite being over three hours long, this movie is very interesting.

It makes me not want to join the military.

I don't know if I'll ever watch it again, but it is an excellent war film.

Caught a butchered teevee version of Bubba Ho-Tep, a rather sedate horrmedy, but fun.

Always a Bruce Campbell fan, saw BHT about a dozen times on teevee (butchered) but don’t recall seeing the “real” movie intact. Gotta do that…

Bladrunner, Star Wars, Alien, Apocalypse Now, The African Queen, Secondhand Lions, Italian Job (original); all stand out to me for different reasons. But there are so many good films I like it’s hard to choose an all time favourite, need to give it some more thought……
