Looking at the many budget offerings from China and the USA, why hasn’t anybody copied the Surefire E2LAA Outdoorsman?
It looks like it would be perfect for cloning… good size for edc, 2AA, 80 Lumens (tho I wouldn’t flinch at as much as 100) for 9 hours, (Probably fudged just a smidge, ya think?) and a low mode almost forever. HAIII anodizing, a clip, waterproof and rugged! I’d buy one at ~ $60, but just can’t rationalize the $160…“You spent WHAT for a flashlight??” sez She Who Must Be Obeyed.
Perhaps it is just not sexy enough, compared to all the whiz-bangs, modes, strobes, and SOS features commonly available nowadays.
Am I missing something? Are there budget lights of good quality that will match it feature for feature, and I just haven’t found them yet? Any suggestions…keeping it to $50-60 or less?
