monster flashlight brand

I am brand new to this forum and this forum seems to be a lot friendlier than some other snobbish man I thought I was a flashlight addict I can see I have a lot to learn, anyhow I had a question I’ve been looking at Monster Light.com for.a possible new light I was looking at their protac tango 6, 5 function light and wanted to get some opinions. Of what any one thinks about their lights lumen ratings and overall quality of them and are they mad e in USA as they claim .What i am looking for is a light I can carry on my belt good spiil and flood I live in a very rural area without any street light and miles from any town my fa mily and I have spent many a dark night waiting hours in the dark without good light .what I have had in the past were the streamlight ultra stinger and I did not like the bulbs popping when I needed lights the most a stinger scorpion and a nebo redline, now I would like something brighter more dependable and rechargeable if I had to put a price limit on it I would say 250.00$ +or_afew dollars. Thank in advance for your input I would appreciate’ what you guys think of the monster light .con products or perhaps point q better light

Can you link to where they say they’re made in the USA?

No experience with them, but they look suspiciously like the chinese imports they badmouth at a vast markup. Now, it’s possible that they do a ton of improvement (better heat management, quality control, etc), but I’d want to see evidence before shelling out the big bucks.

Yeah I have heard that from one other person that they looked like some ultrafires how accurate is their lumen rating?

Do you have a link to their site, I can’t quite seem to find them based on your description. Thanks.

I believe its wwwmonsterflashlight.com.

hi, i am also new to this forum and i agree with you that it feels more friendly than …, anyway, i am glad to see that i am not alone in “always looking for perfect flashlight”, so, the budget you have will buy you pretty much anything you want, i guess nitecore tm15 neutral white is what i would take if it must be with recharge port, otherwise i am working on my budget for zebralight s6330 and i guess by the time i have enough money they will release it in neutral white…

Welcome to the forum, Light Junkie! This is the BEST place to be if you like flashlights.

As for monsterflashlights.com, run, don't walk, to almost any other site to buy your Chinese made Ultrafire flashlights at 1/4-1/3 or the price that monsterrip-off is asking for the same lights only MFL's selection are not as bright and use older components. None of them are made in the USA. The only thing I see on some of them is they are replacing the reverse clickie switches in some of the models with $1.50 forward clickies. Not worth triple the price you can buy the same light elsewhere.

If you see one you like let us know first so we can tell you where to get it better and for less. ;)

Thanks Kralyevski about the info on the niteforce light. Does anyone else have any comments on the nightforce light?JohnnMac thanks for the warning I’m really disapointed iwas really looking forwad to ordering their monsterflashlight pro tango t6 led tactical flashlight 5 mode 1000 lumen what do you know that’s comparable

JohnnyMac this ultrafire CXM-LU2 has caught my eye just about perfect size wise id even go a little larger length wise and the price is unbelievable’!! Could you tell what battery I should order what light and charger I should order? Or if there is a better light out now thanks .

Fasttech will sell you a fandyfire branded (I know, embarrassing name!) C8 for 20 bucks. Add a couple of protected Panasonic 3100s and an ML-102 charger and you’re good to go. If you want a bit more charger, look at some of the Xtar WP II options — they’re good (and usually not cloned).

Sorry for not getting back to you yesterday, LJ. That is the one light I’ve seen on monster’s site that I can’t find the Ultrafire original for.

Great suggestions here from Ruffles. Take his advice and you won’t go wrong.

If you really want a fantastic light with a magnetic control ring that will knock your socks off, look no further than the Fandyfire Darth. It's a rebranded Black Shadow Darth and is a hell of a light! It's one of my favorites and the quality and feel will meet all expectations. $60 is the best price you will find anywhere for this light and Fasttech ships fast. If you order it now they can still get it out before they go on holiday for 2 weeks. Get 3 of the Panasonic cells and the charger Ruffles recommended and you will be set. ;)

Figured I'd chime in...

I picked up two flashlights from monster flashlights a long time ago.

In terms of quality, they are really the same as any low end chinese ones.

One of the lights is now dead. The other still works, but the driver is damaged... simply from being on a little too long, when in actual use, outside during winter in 10 degree temperature... bye bye modes.

I'd skip them in favor of comparably priced chinese brands.

Thank you just saved me money I cant afford to loose and disapointment as when I hear bump in the night’ out here you don’t know if coyote’s helping themselves to trash or undocumented border crosser and average leo response time hovees between 35-45 minutes I really appreciate your honest input! !!

I googled fasstech alp that came up was a medical research place in Ma can someone paste a link please thanks again for all the information, I have to admit since my initial post I can’t sleep well I get the sweats looking up all the links wearing out batteries man I’ve got it bad. I guess that’s the 1st step admitting I have a problem!

www.fasttech.com

One last warning… China is in the middle of their New Year’s Festival, so everybody is closed down for about 2 more weeks. Then the mail is clogged, so orders will be slower than usual.

edit: oh, and forgot to mention, use coupon code BLF for 5% off flashlights at fasttech.

Glad it helped. Not my goal to take away his business... he seems like a nice guy, but his lights, well, I won't buying in the future.

Personally of the various brands so far, I like crelant a lot for cost/value. Lots of options out there though.

Please forgive this naive question I just spent closes to an hour looking@ultrafires website and was I overwhelmed? I felt like a.kid in a toy store, but what I noticed the website makes it appear they are based out of Japan and their prices seem a little higher than their onlije distributors out of Japan.is there a reason for that? And thanks to you members on this forums I believe at this point I have my search narrowed down to the Ulatrafire C8MX-LU2 or the Fandyfire Darth I didn't realize there was such. Qaulity brite lights a these prices.heck what I paid for my cheap nearly useless Nebo redline with a purple light I couldm have purchased a really decent light thanks all

I myself like my Crelant 7g5v2 alot. It’s pretty watertight too, I would go in a pool at night in the summer and take it down about a yard and it never leaked, not even water inside the head. There are newer crelant lights though.
