Maglite 2AA LED Target, Clearance!

Howdy All. Not sure if this is national or just local. But at my local Target (Rancho Cordova, Sacramento County) store, they had the LED 2AA (77 lumens) Mags on clearance today for $6.19, reg price $24.09. They had 2AA Incan Mags on clearance too, same price, but colors…

Good to know will have to check some stores.

Got to be local. Our store has the normal price. Also, the LED Maglite 2AA is 191 lumens. Even an incan is 96 (I believe), so I think those might not be LED. Should be possibly 177 lumens if they are the old style LED with the Luxeon emitters. Either way, a helluvadeal! Buy every Black, Red and Blue one you can get. I will pay shipping and your gas. 1/3 the price of normal, if they truly are LED 2AA.

Target clearances are a YMMV situation.

Actually, I think that 77 lumens is correct. Have a look at maglite’s website for the specs of the older mini maglite LED model:

My packaging says 77 lumens. Maybe clearing the way for the Pro/Pro+ 2AAs?

^ This.

Good to see the Pro/Pro+ finally trickling into retail outlets.

You are probably correct. I was most likely seeing the distance rating, not the lumens rating. Fine print (less than 3 inches tall), does me in nowadays.

Maglite packages are kind of easy to misread.

I picked up a 2xAAA Minimag a few days ago, and when I saw the big "31" on package I was surprised for a second. Then I looked closer and it said "beam distance 31 meters". And further down it said "9 lumens". And then I was like, ah that makes sense.

It’s not listed nationally but I’ll check Novato and Santa Rosa on the way home tomorrow. I mentioned on the 31st that Walmart had twin packs of led AA Minmags for $29.88.

$6.19 for AA model(non led), blue, grey, and pink at Novato store. Price good thru 3/2.

I almost grabbed blue and medium gray Non-Led 2AA units, but at 19 lumens or so, I couldn’t. But a fella like Old Lumens could easily modify/McGyver those critters no prob!

Price not available at Santa Rosa store.

Maglites are generally worthless as stock lights but they make nice hosts that are easy to mod with well documented variations, come in cool colors, and are cheap. Even better when they are on sale.

Just bought the last 3 at my Target. 2 blacks and 1 dark grey. The price display was 6.19, they rang up 24.09 and had to overide it. mine are 69 lumens with the multi mode switch.

Any of you lucky ones have a receipt handy? The Maglite sku or DPCI (whatever that means) might work in the inventory checker that we were all using for the recent home depot defiant…

My receipt shows 092081010.

Doh! Ah, the dark grey one. Nice. Yep, came up $24.09 on me too. She didn’t hesitate and took my word just fine. Saved 5% too using my Red Card, so it was only $5.88. Cant’ beat that w/ a stick!

Well, the inventory checker isn’t quite as easy to use when it’s Target…

It shows my local store having stock, but when I was there a couple of days ago, there were no sale tags to be seen. So I guess it really is store by store discounting.

Thanks for the heads-up, though.

The Novato store had the discount tags but neither the scanner nor the register showed the discount price. It was $1.80 off regular AA and $3.80 off the pink BCFA model. The pink solitaires were also marked down to normal price. FYI, Walmart offers free shipping to your local store for Maglites purchased online.
