It is cheaper than on dx, but on dx there is a identical looking Small Sun that is even cheaper. Looks alright, but can I not judge the quality.
I actually came close to buying that light. I just might pick it up sometime.
I like the emitter on it. The XP-G R5 is actually very nice. The one of DX is a buck cheaper but only has the Q5 in it.
The dx-pictures show that the led is a XP-G, but they are unusual honest if they admit that they just use a lousy Q5 bin, I think it is a typo (because decent XR-E's come in Q5). And as far as bins are concerned, every cheap chinese factory claims their XP-G bin to be R5 every time but that is so difficult to check that I fear that it just comes with whatever bin they have left from the reel...
I should have ordered this from DX to compare to my other cr123, but I passed. I would guess it is 250-300 lumens and a good mix of flood and throw. One mode killed it for me. Maybe a half hour of diminishing brightness runtime on high with 16340.
I had not noticed that it was only one mode. That kills it for me also.
