Tank007 TK-703 with eneloop

This light is the brightest I’ve ever seen it, with brand new 2nd gen eneloops. But it also gets quite warm after only a few minutes. Is this normal?

It would eat Duracell alkalines and Philips 750mAh NiMH but was never this bright. I only got the AAA eneloops today so I am still learning!

I’ve got an olight i3 that starts out relatively bright with alkies, but would dim quickly after only a few minutes on high (runtime also sucked). It also got a bit toasty when running duraloops. I wouldn’t worry about it, though it wouldn’t hurt to look over your charging setup just to make sure that nothing’s amiss.

Thanks! Well I hadn’t charged the eneloop yet as it was straight from the packet. But my Philips are a few years old now.

Lots of chocolate for me to eat,

Lots of lights, making lots of heat

Warm face, warm hands, warm feet

Oh, wouldn’t it be lovely!

Seriously, it makes a nice lip warmer, and it means your light is working on the high end of the efficiency scale. It its too hot to hold, turn it off.

Lip warmer?!!

I love Audrey Hepburn! Now I have to post this:

The lip warmer has to do with the "warm face". I will bet my last money that you will give it a try! Resistance is futile.

BTW, love the Mouth of Truth.
