CREE Gen 1 XM-L, XP-G, etc 35% off sale no coupons required

CREE Gen 1 XM-L, XP-G ~35% off sale no coupons required

Backorders will not be taken.

Sorry, but $8.95 - (30% = 2.69) = $6.27.

Can you cut that in half?

Just asking…

We cannot. The more expensive emitters were reflowed with extremely expensive machines which are not cheap to run.
It is safe to say we will not be making money off of these LEDs.
It would appear that catering towards the DIY market is becoming unsustainable for sellers in the USA.

Craig

Hi Craig,
Please don’t pull the DIY components. They are always going to be people that will happily pay more for items if shipped from the US. I want BS you and tell you I buy all my stuff from you. I buy from several different places. I do have a need for a US supplier and so far you have been it. I think more members here may also wish that you reconsider. There is always going to be a need for a US supplier, sometimes we just don’t want to deal with the china man. You are our go to store. I sincerely hope that you will reconsider and let the DIY stay with you.

+1 there

as if my >$200 order of components last week shouldn’t already signal my opinion

and if you haven’t noticed all the recent threads on sinkpads and reflowing, you’ll probably do well with bare emitters.

That’s correct I bet u will get a nice order of LEDs in the middle of April when I mail out 1000+ copper boards

Specialize. Concentrate on being the go to place for the harder to find LEDs. Nichia, 3D, 4C (is there such a thing as 4D) MT-G2 and various harder to find quality DIY supplies.

+1 Especially these, and the neutral and XM-L2 in neutral to warm tints.
I just placed a small order for 5 XM-L. Thanks for the coupon!

Please continue to offer LEDs, particularly bare emitters. Many of us are getting into copper SinkPads (another item you may want to carry), which need LEDs reflowed onto them. It saves us a step when we can get bare emitters. For the US gang, the time saved in ordering from you is well worth a few extra pennies per emitter.

Whoops, coupon code modified to the correct value. We’re still honoring your order

Not only the US, IS packages to Amsterdam usually arrive within a week. And please keep offering the less middle-of-the-road emitters (at the moment I'd love to see the XP-E2 in 3C and 4D tints)

I wasn’t sure what happened there. Looks like it was doing $30 off the order instead. Thanks for honoring the order. Much appreciated. :face_with_monocle:
Those will go nicely in my YinHex mod.
For everyone interested, the items marked 50% off can still have the 30% code applied to them.
Examples are (on 16mm stars): XM-L U2 1A for $4.55, XP-G R4 1A for $2.45, XP-E R2 WG for $1.57

Craig, NO! we need a good US dealer that we can count on. YOU ARE THE BEST. I have ordered a few times and you BY FAR are worth more than you charge.

I just placed an order... I DID NOT put in the discount code. I DON'T WANT A DISCOUNT!!! ... I WANT YOU IN BUSINESS! I understand buying cheap.... thats ok..... but we all must understand that to keep you, we cannot and should not expect China prices.

Thanks for being here and I hope you can stay in the DIY component business.

Dan.

I’m not in the US either but even I chose Illumination Supply for your unique items like Nichia’s, XML2s (at the time) and Lumens Factory dropins previously. Attention, I even pay shipping.

Some Nichia 219’s. You’re still the only supplier with them, and I do not have a Nichia light yet.
Feel free to ship them together with the XM-Ls to reduce your shipping costs.

Craig, it would appear that way and I would have to agree that US sellers of “anything” right now, are in a quandary as to what to do. China has taken the market away from the US and from many other nations. (There’s more than one way to win a war, eh?). As long as we “buyers”, continue to support the “Wal-Mart syndrome”, we will be forever searching for the “lowest price”, no matter where that price comes from. It is our downfall and it is hurting our nation. I do not see relief, as the number of poor and lower middle class increases, the need to buy cheap or not buy at all increases. I am afraid it is a spiral that will not stop and the end results will not be pretty.

That said, I try to buy from you when I can. I am not a major player, but us DIY guys really aren't major. We are just a few little fish. We tend to think we are more than reality suggests. I think you are justified to try to find items in this led market, where you can sell to larger fish, but I do hope you can keep some things for the DIY people. Ultimately, it has to be what is best for you and I, for one, can understand your dilemma and your need to do what's best for you.

XM-L2 U2 back in stock!? Yay! I should have bought more, I should have bought more...

I’ll be making an order for sure.

4A, 4B, 4C, 4D, 4E…lots and lots of everything 4.

Please.

…and I don’t care if they’re Gen 1, as long as its got a 4 in it.
