Water in my thrunite ti

My wife was nice enough to wash my Ti and although it still works and the battery wasn’t damp when i opened it up there is moisture under the lens. Is this going to be an issue and is there anyway to open the cap up to dry it out?

My experience with dismantling torches has been limited to bits that unscrew like they should but I’ll have a go if it can be opened.

I hate when that happens. I usually unscrew the head, and leave it bezel down on the radiator for a couple of days.

Yeah I have it that way on the bench at the moment. I guess if that’s the only way I’ll just leave it. Thanks.

Rice, put in a bag of rice and it will dry out.

Try putting it in a container of dry rice or with a sachet of silica gel for a few days to absorb all the moisture.

warming up is much faster, a flashlight can withstand up to 100 deg C. easily for long times.

forget the rice and go to the pharmacy and buy a bag of silica gel…
