Stainless Steel Bezel for C8

Hi all! As said by the topic, where can I buy a Stainless Steel bezel for C8? I have search around in this forum and couldn’t find any post about it, or maybe I missed out something. Thanks!

I and some others got the trustfire C8 – some of them are offered with the SS bezel. I actually swapped the bezel with my ultrafire C8 I got from Lightmalls which was always a great performer.

What if I just want to buy a SS bezel, not the whole light? Do you know any store that sells them?

Ancient topic, but since the C8 is still a popular model, why doesn’t anyone sell SS bezels?
TrustFire C8 had it, but that was long ago..

Looking for:

Most likely there are lots of different brands of C8s out there. Even C8s of the same brand are often different when it comes to thread spacing and such. One doesn’t fit all. Convoy would be the best option see if Simon will make some.

Good idea to ask Simon.
.
I just checked, and the C8s i have (Thorfire, UltraFire, Convoy) have interchangeable bezels, and they’re the same as on Lpower MRV and another side-switch model i have.
They are all the same bezels basically.

That new “Clear” Convoy C8 with a SS bezel would be a sweet light.

I posted this more than 3 years ago and until today I’m still yet to get the stainless steel bezel for my C8 lol!

Well it’s not something important and that’s why I didn’t look for them very hard, but it would still be cool to have them on my C8 tho.

I think we can all live without the SS bezel, but if it was for sale somewhere i think many of us would buy one or more for our C8s.

Poor Simon (and J-Dub74 Wink )
Tan S2(+)
what colors can be done too?
New L6
when is the L2 coming again?
how is the new C8 Sx clip coming along?
New bare L6
SMO reflector when?
led indicator switch when?
New firmware Biscotti
Is the MCU overclocked, does moon work on all drivers?
New super C8 in bare ano, AR lens, Biscotti driver, DTP star
oh man during assembly the lens has gotten a bit dirty, could all the demand for his new lights made him hire some people to help get orders out the door before National Holiday?

So now let’s all message him for a stainless steel C8 bezel, sure he’ll appreciate the day off tomorrow Wink

(Don’t get me wrong I like this bezel idea yet there is so much going on for Simon I think one message about it and some faith in J-Dub74 to make it happen down the road should suffice Wink )

Hmmm… yes… And then i’m whining about bezels…

Who produced them back then anyway?
Maybe ThorFire knows?
I have no experience with doing business, let alone with China.
But if some factory would produce a couple of thousand SS bezels for C8 and similar flashlights, i think (but what do i know) they would sell them all within a year.
Either to factories or as a spare part to webshops.

I am with you and so think Simon should do it!
With the grey and bare C8 a ss bezel would look so nice.

I got reply from Simon.
He said he has no plans for it, yet…

It seems there’s not much enthusiasm here for it either.

OK I’ll message Simon, asking for a stainless steel bezel.
If he gets a question every few days it must become more attractive to do it Wink
So no others just yet, please wait till he has answered me.

Instead of lots of people messaging Simon we should start an interest list, then send that list to Simon.

Guys please don’t forget that I am Simon’s voice here on BLF. I can’t and would not try to stop any of you from sending him messages but please don’t pummel him about this. You show me there is enough interest and I will make it happen. I was excited when I started reading this and then I kept reading and saw all the suggestions to pummel Simon with requests. I hear you and I can help.

Simon is for one thing, on a Chinese holiday right now and for another he does not have nearly enough help. The less he is pummeled with little emails and messages on the same topic, the more he can get done and the more I can make things like this happen. It’s what I do. I’ve been making things happen through Convoy for quite some time now as many of you know. A barrage of others trying to do the same will just mean a ton more work for him to sort through all this.

If there is a common goal like this I can make it happen through Simon and with less stress. I like the idea too. I was on board as soon as I saw the topic and I can make it happen. I’m not judging anyone just telling you what I know based on a ton of experience with Simon what will be most effective.

Cheers,
J-Dub

Don’t tell me what to do! Oh, wait, you’re not. Silly

I was going to PM you a link to this thread so you could “officialize” but I see you’ve found it already.

Nice and sorry being an older topic that was on the first pages now again and you not chime in made me think you were too busy for this little part.

It would look awesome combined with the Stainless steel clip:
http://www.banggood.com/Convoy-Flashlight-Clip-For-S2-S3-S4-S5-S6-M1-M2-...

And the magnet ring:
http://www.banggood.com/Flashlight-Tail-Magnet-Magnetic-Ring-20165mm-Rin...

But that means drilling and threading holes in the tail cap (because with the magnet there is no room for the nuts), and maybe with the SS bezel it’s too heavy for the magnet…

…problems, problems… lol

the Banggood magnet is very weak.
will not hold a C8 and barely holds a S2+
the ring Simon sells is stronger.

Thanks for that information!

And you get 2 pieces from Simon:
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Flashlight-tail-magnet-magnetic-ring-20-...

I wonder though if this will fit:
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/18350-battery-tube-for-S2-black-flashlig...
to make a shorty C8 (18350)
like here, bottom right:

It wont fit C8, you can try to find rev.1 X6 to fit 18350 A6 tube.

I’ll ask the question on the C8 page of Gearbest then (that’s where the pic is from).
Apparently something does fit.
