UF KH-T60 XM-L Review at DX

Anyone try this one yet? http://www.dealextreme.com/p/ultrafire-kh-t60-ha-ii-xm-lt60-5-mode-1200-lumen-white-led-flashlight-1-x-18650-57006

After reading the review on it I might try this one out. Not expecting it to have a long runtime. 2 hr NO WAY!

Hope somebody else does, that one looks interesting.

I especially like the 'The lowest powermode is (for me) not bright enough.' part of the review.

Too bad there is still no cheap 2*18650 XML with convincing heat sink capabilities available.

Agreed. And that's two hours on high with 1200 lumens OTF running on a single 18650, if the description were correct. Riiiight. That said, the exaggerated, well, make that made up numbers don't really bother me. I was going to buy another C8 and I thought I'd give the version with a SMO reflector a try and since the Ultrafire is just $7 more, I might get this one instead. Off to do some research... :)

Sounds like the reviewer DID look into the beam. LOL

Pretty amazing how they got a T6 to crank out 1200 lumens. *cough*BS*cough*

Who's the guinea pig on this one?

Not exactly sure how to duplicate the sound that the tail-less creature known as the guninea pig makes, but I may have to learn to mimic that anoying (WEEE WEEE) guinea pig call.

Gona have to try it. The comparison pics look like it may be worth a try, along with the stated 3000 ma output.

Atta boy Dave! Thanks for stepping up and taking one for the team. Please holler back when you receive it and let us know your thoughts on it.

You can do it Dave!

look at the bottom of the page under "quick fix heatsinking" . He has a very interesting wraping technique

I do not own the picture, JHM64 does

Actually, even if it only puts out 700 lumens, this looks like one of the better XM-L throwers I've seen with that big lense and polished reflector. I might have to give it a go! Sucks that you have to cycle past the blinky blinky modes, as usual.

OK, this is interesting. DX has what looks to be the exact same light for a couple bucks less (no stainless bezel) but they list it at only 1000 lumens here

http://www.dealextreme.com/p/ultrafire-kh-t60-ha-ii-xm-lt60-2-mode-1000-lumen-white-led-flashlight-with-strap-1-x-18650-55909

They rate that one at 2500mAh, plus it is TWO mode, High/Low WHoo Hooooo, that one might be a better bet.

They also have the 3000mA one without the stainless bezel but back to 5-modes for $29 here

Hope that its better than the KD C8 CREE T6 XML 1000 lumens light

We'll find out; I ordered it last night (the one without the crenelated bezel)

DX has about 6 different varietes of that light, at prices from $28 to $32.

Do you think they have the same reflector depth? The KH with the stainless bottle opener looked as if it had a deeper reflector? Or do you think it's the assult crown making it appear as so?

The-KH & NH look to be the same minus the color of the bezel. The- TH looks like it might be the same head without the assult crown or( bottle opener) if your in a pinch.

I got this ( http://www.dealextreme.com/p/ultrafire-kh-t60-ha-ii-xm-lt60-5-mode-1200-lumen-white-led-flashlight-1-x-18650-57006 ) light in the mail yesterday.

It draws 3,2A on high, 0,7A on medium and 0,05A on low.

Wow, you need to give us more about your impressions of the light in terms of brightness and throw. Sounds pretty good so far!

Can somebody post the beamshots of this light and the KD C8 CREE T6 XML 1000 lumens light like for near and far distances etc?

Thanks

It throws much better than the P60 hosts, but the C8 throws even better. I also have an UF-980 and it throws as good, maybe better than the C8. All of them have an SMO reflector. Overall this is a very good light with very good throw.
