couple questions.. trading / product prices

Hi couple quick questions from the new guy. Is it “cool” to include a trade value in a trade listing?
Ex: I have a (item) I paid ($xxx.xx) for and looking for a trade close to the same amount.

And I’m looking at my first non-drug store light… got my eyes on a couple… if someone can tell me if these are the best prices online plz.

Fenix ld20 .. $40 Fenix ld22 … $50
Quark aa2 r5 @… $55
All free ship

And do members have buy/sell/trade ratings or feedback?

Thanks

hi, I don’t see a problem with stating a value you place on the items, as for feedback, there is nothing as yet.

With regards to lights, are you looking for a primary powered light or do you wish to use li ion cells? I could google your options but I’m on my phone and not feeling inclined to be honest.

Ty for the reply.

My Requirements are 2 AA (maybe 1). Tail clicky. Long life on low mode. Strong tactical strobe. Drop/Water/Weather Resistant. +/- 6 inches. Tail stand. No more than $55.
Main EDC indoor/outdoor. Economical. Prefer pocketclip but not too big a deal.

No rush, any help at ur own convienience.

there’s the rebadged balder thats just been reviewed by our own johnnymac.

I’m afraid my knowledge of 2aa lights is extremely limited as I typically just run li-ions, a little more initial expense but its soon absorbed in the price vs performance, and once you have a charger and decent cells, decent lights can be had within the $30 price range.

I don’t know if your in the U.S., but if you are, you might take at shiningbeam.com. I think he has some 2xAA lights, and he’s very good to deal with, and prices are pretty good.

What would one look to spend if they used li-ions with those specs w/ cells + charger ?

I would expect to get a decent light, cells and acceptable two cell charger for $50 or so, it would be worth perusing fasttech, intloutdoor, cnqg, sb flashlights, illumination supply and seeing what takes your fancy.

For cells, look at sanyo, Samsung and panasonic based protected cells then your set for series lights as well. I like the 2900mah sanyo cells from fasttech but they are fat and a tight fit in a couple of lights I have. I just got an xtar wp2 II charger that I like a lot.

For lights, the convoy m1 and m2 are nice p60 sized lights, if your handy with a soldering iron the d5 host from cnqg produces a really really high quality light, the beauty being you can pick your specific tint and driver options, I would get an xm-l 4c emitter, qlite driver from intloutdoor along with 20mm contact board, 2900mah sanyo cells and try to get the xtar charger I mentioned, its a good chunk of $50 or so, but a really nice package when built, I also did a build thread on this host.

Ty for that info, but I’m going with 1 AA. Ive narrowed my choice to either d25a or quark qpa.

Qpa has it all, love the run times on low… just the bulk, pocketclips and concern of pre flash has me looking more to the d25a… love that clip and sleek form, major factors for me… and the lows seem adequate. any issues on the 2013 models ive read sound like it may just be related to the insides needing cleaning more often than other lights. If that’s the case no big deal. Still looking into that and contacted CS.

Looking at the warm XPG… anyone like their warm XML or XPG?

I guess i just need to know what US dealer (thinking warranty service) is best to work with and has discount coupon here or the other place :zipper_mouth_face: I could make some calls Monday unless anyone knows off hand?
