This is my first post in this forum so hopefully I’m in the right sub-forum for my question:
I have a Fenix E01 flashlight… it’s not my primary EDC light, but anyway I would like to have a pocket clip for this flashlight.
So after an Internet search I learned that the pocket clip for the Fenix LD01 should fit the Fenix E01 too. In case it matters, my E01 is the one that comes in the new blister with a free AAA alkaline cell. But, unfortunately, I have not been able to find an OEM Fenix LD01 pocket clip for sale yet.
So now I have two questions for you people:
#1: Does a clip like that of the LD01 actually stay in place with repeated use? I’m only used to screw-in clips like that of the EagleTac D25A Mini which always stays in place no matter how hard I shove the light in my pocket.
#2:Where can I purchase a genuine, OEM, Fenix LD01 pocket clip?
Now that’s some useful information! I precisely wanted to fit the pocket clip to the narrower circumference near the tail-stand side so the head of the flashlight points down my pocket. You’ve just saved me some time and money, thanks!
I assume that tying a zip tie around the body of the flashlight would be enough to avoid the light rolling off the table, but the nub on the zip tie would also dig in the pocket… uhmmm… I guess that I’ll leave it as is.
You’re right, thank you for your suggestion. I guess that I could use the split ring that came with the E01, but then I will have to carefully position said split ring in the correct place every time that I leave the flashlight on a flat surface—this is probably a minor annoyance.
I totally agree with you there! I found out that this flashlight is good enough for navigating around the house and that’s my primary use for a flashlight.
Sometimes, I prefer to EDC my EagTac D25A Mini because of the pocket clip. It’s difficult to notice the D25A Mini flashlight when it’s hanging from the pocket of my jeans. On the other hand, the E01 is easy to notice at the bottom of my pocket even despite its lower weight and smaller diameter.
Not true. I used the small split ring that came with it, and this is enough to stop any roll without any positioning needed. Gravity will position the ring to deny any roll of more than an inch.
