once i really started getting into flashlights, i started taking tailcap readings of all my lights. got to my energizer ultimate 2xAA, started low, like 1a, rapidly raised to something like 4-5a and poof. $45 light killed because the driver tailcap. they did replace it for me though
i put a cell in my c108 backwards once, fried the driver…

It’s part of learning the ropes…. Probably most have done stuff like that, including myself :)… and then you learn not to do it :)!
Thanks for the review,I see the build quality is a bit lacking and the 3400 mah batteries are no-go.I wanted a compact 1×18650 light for my toolbox at work,but I think I’ll pass on this one.Thank for your efforts Chicken drumstick.
Received it yesterday. The Xtar batteries I have wouldnt fit. Tenergy batteries fit perfectly! Nice little light! Great review! Thanx for posting. & thanx Casey for showing us not to use the wrong batteries!!! LOL

how do you judge the tint of the XM-L2 T6 1A CW? It is too cool? (blueish-greenish?)
