If you just created a new BLF account in the last few hours, please re-create it. I made a change to the CAPTCHA configuration and mistakenly removed the CAPTCHA from the registration page. This led to an influx of almost 100 spammer accounts. There were too many to go through one by one, and indeed it appears that they were all spammers. But if by any chance any human being registered here in the past few hours, please re-register.

It is absolutely incredible the amount of spambots that are patrolling 24x7 on the internet. It was literally within minutes or seconds of my configuration mistake that the spam accounts started appearing.

what do they actually think they will accomplish though, who would buy garbage based on a spam post that seems to always be badly written
A lot of the time, spam isn’t really for humans. It’s for Google’s algorithms. They just want to promote their site so it turns up when someone searches for “easy loans” or “Rayban sunglasses” on Google. More links == better rankings.
that makes sense, i wonder if google would try to improve their algorithms to eliminate this problem
