Hi everyone,

Sorry about the long downtime. I just finished another complete re-configuration of the BLF website internals. I’m cautiously optimistic that this latest iteration will provide significantly better performance than the last last attempt and also compared with the old server. In addition to some re-factoring of the internal configuration, I also discovered a possible misconfiguration that was causing poor performance on this new server.

In the other thread, several mentioned that they are no longer receiving email notifications for new posts. This could be due to the fact that I was constantly rebooting the server during the past week to refresh the configuration. At any rate, please try un-subscribing and re-subscribing to a popular thread to see if you receive notifications. Remember that you must re-visit the thread while logged in before the system will send you another future notification of more new posts. Additionally, due to the new profile of the server most mails will be flagged as spam by most common email providers. So please check your spam folder via the web interface and mark mails as not spam to help re-train their filters.
Ooops, I confirm that emails aren’t working yet. I’ll try to fix that later tonight.
Update: 21:00 GMT-05:00 - I can confirm that notification emails are working. Just check your spam folder.
Update: 17-JUN-2013 03:00 GMT-05:00 - Please confirm if email notifications are now working, especially those who were having problems before. I made some significant changes in the BLF mail server config. Thanks!

I hope this latest configuration helps to make BLF enjoyable to browse and post once again. My apologies for the hassles as of late. Have fun!

I know it’s not your fault….but OMG it’s going to take them 4 hours to change out the router?? they really should find a new line of work.

Seems, to be working well….We do appreciate all the work and time that you spend on this. I do believe that this is the best of forums that I have been in. The people are personable and helpful, and we seem to be quite good at self-monitoring, for some odd reason, haven’t quite figured it out. Seems like flashaholics are quite nice people, and down to earth, seems to be quite a unique situation in here, and I certainly wouldn’t want to loose it — Thanks Again for Your Continuing efforts — :beer:

Currently as I type this, so far this is the fastest amonsgt the ‘improvements’ done lately. I will report any feedback as we go along.

Mr. Admin, I have withdrawal pangs when BLF is not around! Thank you very much for the time and efforts that you put into this.
