Lol. That’s great.

They should change the name to “Solar Panel Style” LED keychain flashlight,
and add in the description, “get the look of a solar panel light with the performance of a battery operated light!!!”

Win!

NO SUN and it still works…whoo hoo lol ….not one of FTs best products eh.

Did they contact FastTech about it?

LOL

On the plus side, at least the parts all combined are probably worth close to $1.
What an obvious rip-off product. Not even wired to the battery, which is smart because charging that Lithium primary cell would be a very bad thing.
Edit: Interestingly, if you read the Title and description, it only says “Solar Panel Flashlight”, not “Solar Powered Flashlight”. Nowhere does it say charging or solar powered. Still, misleading product for sure. If FT didn’t know, will they learn to dissect future products to ensure they are as expected?
Edit2: Posted a link to this thread on the item discussion. We’ll see.

LOL I just read the review from kalpesh…what a pro.

Apparently, some of these are “real”, and some are not:

Hopefully FT will recognize that they one they sell isn’t, and correct that or pull the product.

I’m definatelly not interested in a “solar powered flashlight”, I would be interested in a flashlight with solar charging though

I can’t stop laughing.

ive added a comment on FT and bumbleballs is me

funny

Reading the comments, even the real ones seem to fail after only a few months. It’s a shame as I think solar-charging could be a useful feature if implemented well.

ha, bought a couple of these just opened one up and same thing basically inside. Not even connected to the piece of glass. I knew there was no way they could sell that for $1.50

It’s like our solar garden lights, the panel puts out 3v on a mildly overcast day, barely charges the NiCd 300Mah battery, Chinese junk ,lights cost $2.7ea
I now use old NiMh cells in there.

Still a good deal for such low price, the battery itself can cost more on regular market price.

Maybe it was not the same model buts its pretty funny when you have no clue of what is inside.

Good response from Fasttech.

They have pulled the product and explained why. Pretty transparent. As much as we'd like to expect better, I guess it must be virtually impossible to physically test and inspect every product they sell.

By the looks of it, it’s obvious. No need for further explanation.
