[27-JUN-2013] [UPDATED] Sorry for another long-ish downtime

Hi everyone,

We’re back! :stuck_out_tongue: My apologies for another rather long downtime of almost 10 hours. I woke up early this morning to find the site unresponsive, and I’ve been tweaking the configuration since then. I’m still learning the ropes on this new server and I obviously had a few kinks to work out still. I took advantage of this to optimize some settings. I’ll be checking all day to see how the site performs.

Again, my apologies. Glad to have you all back online.

Sigh… You learn something new every day. The database server by default creates huge transaction log files that completely filled the disk. The logs are disabled now. Sorry about that!

Thanks everyone for hanging in all day. I’m going to call it good for now. I think I got it this time.

Good job! Thanks for the hard work!

Ps. We would love to have you on the #blf IRC channel for more than 26 seconds.. Next time then? ;)

thanks again!

Good to be back!!!
Thanks admin

Glad to be back. Thanx Mr. Admin!

Its most appreciated

I knew something was wrong when I didn't get bombarded with BLF email alerts for thread updates! Thanks SB!

Good Lord man! Do you realize the severity of this? I was forced to spend several minutes at that “other” site this morning! I almost posted there, for crying out loud….

Harrrrummph! :~

I know, it’s a little ‘stuffy’ over there!

I posted there lastnight.

No, you need this!

Thank you, Sb! Is anyone else finding it slow to load recent posts?

It’s still logging me out and acting a little weird…

Please delete all of your BLF cookies and try logging in again. Thanks!

Acting ok for me.

How do I do that? Sorry, I’m a little computer challenged.

Yay it’s back (again)!
