I ordered a light on 6-12-13 and it shipped on 6-18-13. The provided me a tracking # but everything on the tracking says “Not Found” ie:

They just keep telling me to wait but my time to dispute via paypal is getting close. I have never done a dispute so this will be a 1st for me.
To me it looks like the either didn’t send it or it’s gotten lost. I have ordered several things over the years here and have not had a problem until now. Normally the tracking works fine and between 2-3 weeks I have my item.
I did try it and it says no result. This is the link they gave me to try: http://www.17track.net/IndexEn.html which it looks like it finds the # but just has no info.
And usually the tracking doesn’t update for a day or two after it ships. Also with USPS the last update was ‘Parcel picked up at XXXX’, it didn’t update anymore so I thought I had lost it or something. But then a few days later it showed up at my door and the USPS tracking still showed the same thing.
That site says this: Tracking Information Expired
The tracking data on this shipment has not been updated in more than 10 business days by Parcelforce. Please contact Parcelforce for more information.
I had a similar experience with the Sky Ray S-R5 UV I won from DBCstm. It was sent on 12June and the latest update was 14June. After that, nothing. I tried packagetrackr.com and it also says tracking information expired.
I however already received the item last 01July. :bigsmile:
Well no dice with any carrier choice. I will wait a little longer and see. DX just keeps telling me wait another week, so I guess I will and then go from there.
Well I decided to do a paypal claim since they ignored my messages and things that were sent thru paypal. Paypal contacted them and they provided a different tracking number that shipped the same day they talked with paypal.
Currently the tracking shows my package in NY on its way to Florida soon. After all this I sure hope DX sent the correct item!! A few times in the past I have gotten the wrong items.
Light finally arrived… Wow ordered on 6/12 and received on 7/31, better late then never I guess!! I closed my paypal case and did the confirmed received on DX.
And now my Warrior is in good company since the King arrived!
A good bet is their shipping system generated a shipping label/tracking number but the package never was transfered to the shipping agent. The number is automatically populated into the system but until the package is actually scanned and accepted no data will be generated. When you filed your claim the probably just shipped a new package.
I suspect this type f fraud happens routinely. They oversold the item and generated a shipping label in the hopes you would forget about the purchase or they could delay you until the PayPal claim period passed.
Probably very true. I have bought a lot of lights from various China dealers: Meritline, Wallbuys, DX and so far so good. I’m just glad it’s over and I got my light!
