LED-DNA Coupon for BLF

Bill from LED-DNA was glad to offer 15% off coupon across all categories when I asked him If he has BLF exclusive coupons.

They have some nice deals on XM-L2 emitters and good see them take pre-orders for Sinkpads.

That 16mm Sinkpad looks familiar.

Never ordered from them, from where they send their goods, is shipping free?
I would be interested in this: Preorder Cree XM-L2 U2-0D

One additional question about tints: which one is best if I want pure cold white: 0D, 1A, 1D, 1C ???
I want to avoid greenish tints.

I’m not sure if its any help but at the bottom of the opening post there is a comparison off a couple off leds including an XM-L2 T6 0A which is next door to the 0D on the Cree color chart.

I don’t know what you consider pure cold white. A 2C, which is close to a 2D, would probably be quite close to what I would consider a cold white. That would still be cool, while not being either neutral or blue-ish looking.
If you want to avoid greenish tint, 0D, should do it. But it will more easily be very cool blue/purple looking.
Probably nice for de-doming. You might also like 1A. Intl-outdoor have it copper mounted for a nice price.

(open image in new window/tab for larger size)

If LED-DNA is reading, please add more and better emitter info, or is it not available?
Example: XM-L2 LED T5-5B
5B what? 1? 2? 3? 4?
On various emitters where the CRI is not a given, what is it? Showing Cree order codes would help a lot, certain other vendors do that…

Pure nice white would be "2" tints.

OD is blue purple, closer to what you want should be 1A then 1C.

What Hikelite said, basically what I said…

Btw, not sure why, but the picture in my previous post is acting a bit strange (currently, it shows flashlight-wiki on my screen), but open it in a new tab, and it should work nicely…

Ok, then i’ll get 1A
blue purple is ok-ish, main goal was to avoid green-is

Doesn’t work? Otherwise ‘BLF’ for 5% is still best one to use?

Seems to be working fine.

Bummer still getting invalid coupon code… Carabiner columbia light, ml102, nitecore cr123 batts, and a photon light…

Shoot me… I was entering that coupon on Fasttech for some reason… carry on!...

BLF15 expired on December 30th.

Bill was happy to renew the “BLF15” coupon which expires 31 Mar 2014.

Great to hear

where is he located please? I e-mailed him twice on it.

Ive ordered from them twice. Both orders were never fulfilled and ended in paypal disputes with refunds. I sent them several emails and never got a reply.

China

not quite as bad, but for one of my recent orders they sent the wrong optics. Lots of messages back and forth “yes we’ll replace them” “resending them” etc etc and no show. Given that they don’t really offer anything you can’t find anywhere else, why bother shopping with them?

BLF15 still works. Will be testing the remaining TIRs.
