KaiDomain has some cheap right angle Cree lights

The Yellow One and the Green One

Kaidomain has some right angle Cree light under USD 13 intoduced today. They seem to have some Cree XR-E on them but have kind of a plastic looking body. Thinking of the other right angle lights being higher priced, it may be a good utility light for cheaper.

1:1 copy of Fenix MC10. Which is propably a good thing. Been thinkin about getting the Fenix. Might try that one instead.

wow ...nice finding... I was looking at Fenix MC10 for a long time...

Those do look rather nice. Does anyone want to be our Guinea Pig?

I remember that this light came up a while back, I wonder if anybody here bought it? I would buy this one...

...since the company actually took the time to write a description for their product. Claims to be multi-mode with mode memory. And it's blue, which looks a lot better in my opinion.

I have yet to buy a light from KD, mainly because they don't tell you much about the product.

I have just bought the yellow one from KD.

Am I the only one who thinks these torches look like something I could find at the local dollar store? Aside from the cree emitters they look like total junk. They appear to be entirely plastic and would have horrible heatsinking and be fairly fragile. Looking forward to a review when Nautic gets his.

You mean like this one? http://www.fenixlight.com/viewnproduct.asp?id=56

Thanks for the link to the original. The quality of the Fenix is visibly higher and at least the head is aluminum. I’m sure it’s a good light but something about the ones from KD…they just look uber-cheap and crappy. I’d be happy to be wrong about them and maybe they look and feel better in person. Time will tell.

I like angled flashlights but those also stink to me alot.

Can you tell if these KD versions have a magnet in the tail?

Agreed (but be prepared that some people here will probably insult you and say "Go back to CPF" for stating that cheap replicas are not the same thing as the "expensive" original...).

I would say yes since the one pic shows them stuck to a pair of scissors. It also lists it in the highlights as having a magnetic tail. And the more I think about it, I hate to admit that I want one now. LOL! It would be the perfect glovebox light for working on the car. Slap that puppy inside the hood wherever I need some extra light working on the engine or even on a fender when changing a tire.

I'm not (ever) about to say that. Wouldn't wish that on a bad enemy with more money than sense. If the Fenix works better for you and you have the money to spare, then go for it.

Personally, i think the Fenix original looks like the designer had been at whatever spirits Chinese flashlight designers drink. And he/she/it had drunk waaay too much of it.

My opinion: Worth every penny you paid for it :)

There is a whole bucket full of people on BLF with zebralight headlights .

I agree with don about never sending anyone back to cpf unless they can do nothing other than complain about how bad a sloarforce is and how good a surefire is..I think everyone on the planet loves real good quality stuff ..i think we are just looking for a budget way to have it ...clearly there are bigger light snobs out there with less money invested than Don..maybe it's easier to be a jerk with a few high dollar lights than many moderately priced ones .

This is just another reason to place an order with Kai domain ..has to be yellow

noFoy

Looking at the pic, I wonder if it might have an aluminum head/bezel.

Also interesting is that it claims to run on 14500 with a thermal protection system. But you know the Chinese... you just never know what you might get. Thanks for taking the plunge Nautic. Im looking forward to your review.

Has it arrived?

Not yet. The package arrived with a big reflector in it. Contacted KD and they admitted their

mistake and promised to send the light as ordered and paid for. Im waiting still.

Wonder who ordered the reflector and got a light instead. The little white slip of paper showed

the right item, so the mistake is not that easy to understand.
