FastTech Priority accounts

[newsreader voice] If you’re wondering why your order is taking so long to ship, or customer service is somewhat lacking, it could be because your account is not a “priority account”. [/newsreader voice]

Staff member “geek” explains on the FastTech forums:

geek wrote:
PS. many customers have priority status (notice a badge in your support tickets). This status is awarded according to order size, and sometimes forum contribution.

Also, consider that since FastTech started selling e-cigarette products some of their customers are resellers and as such have priority status, and with the added burden one would expect more delays etc.

What do you think? I wonder how much custom one has to give FastTech to earn this status.

Knowing this, I’d rather take my money elsewhere.

I don't smoke and yet I've always had great service from fasttech. Fast shipping and delivery from my experience. So far 11 orders with absolutely no issues

Does only some special users have this little box in the ticketservice sheet or is it another badge?

I have this priority service symbol.

I ordered from them four days ago and it hasn’t shipped yet. This is the first time I have had a delay like this. Bummer. I will have to consider this when I go to place my next order.

That must be the badge geek was referring to. You are an affiliate though, so that might have some bearing.

I have a badge. Never even looked at it before, but it's there on every order I have placed. Of course every order I place is usually over $50 and closer to $100, so maybe they simply give priority to orders that are over a certain dollar value.

I could see people might have an issue with that. I can also see the pros and cons of it. I don't know if it's a good or a bad thing, but I have seen it before with other sellers. Not a badge, but priority service if you order over a certain amount.

I just hold off on orders till I have a lot that I need and that usually gets the order shipped faster, from any seller. I also have noticed if it's going to be a review light, it comes in much faster too.

I tend to group orders together too. I have always given them the benefit of the doubt when orders shipped a little late or didn’t arrive. I guess ignorance is bliss… Too late for that when they’re advertising such a feature on their forums.

I made my first order with them less than 2 weeks ago. Order put in on 7/23, shipped 7/23, and received on 7/29. My order was 4 tiny items, cables and fauxtons. I think that’s pretty fast for stuff shipped from China. Maybe they give priority to new orders too?

I had everything between same day and 3 day shipping after order.
One of my last orders was only 9$ and shipped next day.
Since I don’t like driving to customs office, I only order below 20€ value.
I can’t see any pattern in handling time with my account.

Hmmm… I’ve noticed on my orders it takes 3 days after I put in the order and pay for it before I see it shipped. I don’t have the badge. I always thought they took all that time to collect and prepare my shipment.

There were a few times I ordered and it shipped the next day, but for the majority of orders I’ve gotten shipping e-mail 3 days after I put in an order and pay. Never had any problems, so I don’t know about how well FT handles them.

Since March, I’ve made 13 orders totalling $493.03. Smallest order $5.06 and largest was $83.55.

Most of my orders have always been shipped next day.  With the exception of the Asgard incident.   Although I placed an order July 3rd that they supposedly shipped out the next day and it just got here today.  By far my longest Fasttech delivery time.  That's nearly a freakin month.  Still waiting on one more order I placed July 10th.

I have placed around 40 orders from FT in in the last 6 months. Many smaller ones, and all orders below 34$. I split up orders due to tax/import fees. Sometimes I even split orders to get them below 15$. That way they go in the mailbox withouth me having to sign or pick up the package at the post office.

Spent 500-600$+ , no special priority for me.

FT are good, but like many others, sometime they answer slowly, sometimes they use many days to ship a package, sometimes packages are very slow. I do feel their response, and shipping times have worsened lately too. They where good in the beginning when Jasmine had time to the forum and everything. Then most things were handled in less than 24 hours, and in a better way.

I have never understood the FT hype from some people. They are fairly good, and generally have good prices, a nice page and all. But they are far from top notch in every department. When that is said, I still like them and have no issues ordering from them.

Same here Smile . My last order was shipped out on the 2nd day and arrived 6 working days later. It wasn’t a big order, just some bits and pieces for my camera etc. (<$12). So far so good, haven’t had any issues at all. They still get my vote.

Lights out! That's when things get interesting...

I give them usually more than $200 a month. What exactly do you have to do to get the 'we won't delay your orders on purpose' special treatment?

If so, that's a ridiculous way to run a business and this is the beginning of the end for them. In 6 months they'll be just another Manafont.

well, even after spending almost $700US there and numerous forum posts, I still haven’t achieved ‘priority’ status. I wonder if my next order (multiple items) will be priority? Hmmmm.

My gratitude to those who are willing and able to help others (in whatever way you can)! Being human is more than just existing for yourself. Smile

I don't see the big deal.  All companies give priority to certain customers in some way or the other.  As long as the level of service provided to me doesn't suffer, I don't care if they treat others better.

I'm not a priority customer, but they did just use tracking on an order that wasn't big enough to include tracking.

The low mode should be lower.

I don’t have that badge, but when I bought $60 worth of batteries it was shipped within a few hours. I think I bought them around 2AM

Well, I don’t have a badge, but now I know if I ever have a problem, I need to make a huge stink on forums to get one!

Sort of a joke, but not really, looks like that’s what you have to do to get “priority” if you don’t order large orders. Silly
