I thought it would be fun to see how BLF members are distributed around the world.
There’s also thread with Google map about member locations (here: Interest in (Google) Map of BLF Users? ), but everyone does not have access to Google services. And I’m more interested in rough locations & numbers anyway.

Europe, UK, Scotland, Edinburgh

I did my location but could not find the View Maps to pin my location.

But everyone knows Downtown is On The Map

Thanks for doing this, looks very coooooooooooool

I live in Asian side of Istanbul,
but the city has 8 million population in European side, 4 million population in Asian side.
Generally people live in Asian side, work in European side,
and in fact they go to work on an other continent each day.
I am working in Asian side, away from traffic.
The bridge on my signature is one of the two bridges that connects continents.

I used to live in Asia, when I was 17
my family moved to North America, US.

Does any of you know where Mauritius is?
Tips where I live.

Mauritius, officially the Republic of Mauritius is an island nation in the Indian Ocean about 2,000 kilometres off the southeast coast of the African continent.

Capital: Port Louis

Dialing code: 230
Currency: Mauritian rupee
Government: Parliamentary republic
Continent: Africa

Population: 1.286 million (2011) World Bank

3 people, ha ha!

Is Great Britain really part of continental Europe ? I did not see a box for Eurasia either. :stuck_out_tongue:

Asia, Indonesia

So who is the internet service provider in Antarctica?

Geographically, Great Britain is a fairly large island just off the coast of continental Europe, and as such, I’ve always regarded England, Wales and Scotland (and Ireland) as being European.

Frankly, the Brits luckily do have some things which all the other Europeans do have to miss dearly; like black earth wires, positive earth on cars (admittedly, that’s quite a bit outdated, nowadays), right-hand drive; and they do tend to express themselves in a so much more sophisticated way (’cept Cockneys, perhaps  ) - what else would one expect from the country which gave birth to William Shakespeare, Charles Darwin, and Sir Joseph Whitworth? Oh, not to mention some of my most cherished writers like George Orwell, Aldous Huxley, John Wyndham…

Great Britain is classed as part of Europe, we just dont like to admit it

black neutral wires is a funny thing to pick up on, thats only the case on flat twin and earth, and cockney’s don’t hold the monopoly on a lack of sophistication, checj out Newcastle for instance, or manchester and Liverpool lol.

I’m not picking Europe as my continent though, the poll is flawed J)

Should be “what planet are you on?”

I have heard that they want to introduce left hand drive, in the first stage only for the trucks.

You didn’t have the Texas continent on your list, so I looked it up and it seems that it is generally known as the “North America” continent to many people, so I checked that.
