Thanks for the photos! good job

Thanks for sharing!

It really does look like a nicely made light & the pill looks like a good chunk of brass :)

This. This right here is what I love to see. Specs from a site can vary wildly (especially at DX), but there's no denying photo's of a complete light teardown to show the true potential of a given light.

Thank you Ikocuba for posting this!

Ive got one on the way from MF. Thanks for these pics i feel better about buying it.

X8 is great XM-L thrower I have, beat Ultrafire C8 easy for throw max range.

Anyone has compared X8 with Solarforce M8 here? I don't have M8, just a little curious about those side by side comparison.

That's not a bad looking plunger.

ikocuba.

I have aded Amps on tailcap and picture of it at night, my phone camera is shit for taking night shoots so sory for bad picture.

I wll try to get some decent camera to take some distance night shoots.

I've got this result from tailcap:

High=2.82 Med=1.15 Low=0.23 (1xSolarforce 18650 2400mAh=4.15V)
High=1.46 Med=0.63 Low=0.15 (2xSolarforce 18650 2400mAh=8.3V)

I used fresh charged cells, it's look has a good regulated power by the driver

I fell in love with the X8 at first sight. I love the look of it. Now that I see that the beauty is more than skin deep it is on my short list of must have torches! With that massive heatsink and reflector combo this thing could take some serious emitter abuse! I look forward to seeing what you guys are able to get out of it once you start hot rodding it.

Great pics, BTW!

Johnny

My X8 pulls 1,31A (high), 0,58A (mid), 0,14A (low) at the tailcap with two 18650 batteries (8,3V).

1,31A @ 8,3V = 10,87W, with that power the led will get close to 3000mA at 3,7V.

10,87 : 3,7 = 2,937A - 10% (lost in the driver) = 2,643A or 2643mA at the led.

With one 18650 it pulls 2,13A (high), 0,85A (mid) and 0,16A (low) at 4,15V.

I have the "DX-kit" with charger and two 2500mAh protected blue trustfire 18650 batteries.

What driver could this flashlight have, i think i gona nead to desolder brass pill coz i want to see what is inside.

If i do soo ill post more pictures

Yesterday i have a X8 to test....now, i´m in love with the x8

VERY great flashlight!

The used LED is bright as a XML U2 (indifferent, which tint) and the rest is perfect!

(no, i don´t want to buy a new flashlight, grrrrrrrr)

Yesterday i got NEW 2x18650 TrustFires (fire ones) they ware at 4.07v and i noticed more light then whit ones came whit X8 in box, gona chek when i charge them to see difrence in current at tail cap but definetly more light now

Pic from Driver:

nice pics , here its a bit cheaper if you dont want batteries. Although i have never gotten anything here , shiping is free it seems

personally i like LiFePO4 batteries , the included ones do have a good deal more capacity.

$45 vd $59 at DX

would like to see it compared long range compared to my SacredFire NF-009 modded with a T6 xml

simillar light pattern but sadly only 850mA , also the pill/housing design is much much better.

definatly on my short list

THX for the pics !!

Thnx for pic Andi

I'm sure that's the biggest driver I've seen in a normal flashlight, it looks nicely done as well.

I made it smaller...

(3,5A - 3-Mode - for use with only one 18650)
