Lets see your budget knife collection.

It seams that quite a few of us have some pretty decent knife collections. So how about a thread devoted to showing them off.

fishinfool - what is that knife - top row, 7th from the left on the large camo case? It looks awesome!

That's the Navy K-615 and the camo pouch it came in.

That is a great looking knife! Just looking on the comments on exduct, it apparently came in orange once too - and they are meant to be getting more stock soon.

Going to order it now, thanks for the pictures mate!

Anytime sweefu.

I only have a few knives

That is a great collection, you have quite a few nice pieces that I would like to pick up. Do you store your spring assisted knives closed or is it better for the spring to store them open?

Aloha E1320. That's a good question and something that never crossed my mind. I do store all of my knives closed but now that you mentioned it, maybe my 3 spring assisted knives should be stored open. This knife thing is all new to me but your question does make sense when it comes to spring loaded knives.

But then again, my so called super knife (the one in my drunken video Embarassed) is so cheap that if it does break or wear down--I can easily and cheaply replace it.

I think our in house knife experts (like Budgeteer, Vectrex, jekostas & others) should chime in on this. What say you ?

What did make me a knife expert all of a sudden? Buying all knives that cross my shopping cart? ;-) I don't even have a single assisted or automatic knife and probably never will, due to the very restrictive German knife laws.

How would they know what's inside those padded yellow envelopes? Do they open up your packages? I've had folding knives show up described as kitchen utensils. lol

Well, buying and owning one isn't forbidden, but carrying them in public is. I try to avoid buying knives, if there isn't even a remote chance of them being used and at home I'd rather use fixed blades than folding knives.

Most of my knives are illegal here in Hawaii but unless you are out hurting people, the cops really don't care or even bother enforcing the knife laws.

Vectrex, I think you're an expert at finding budget knife dealers. Also you are great at finding relevant knife reviews on YouTube. Or was your question hypothetical rhetorical?

I my opinion a knife expert has to have some kind of long term experience and actually use his knives to some degree. Most of my knives are younger than 4 months. So to call me an expert would be a slight exaggeration imo. I consider myself still a newbie in the world of knives. I have preferences when it comes to certain types of knives and one of the reason I bought a few more than I actually need, is to get an overview what is on the (budget) market.

Well, compared to me, you are definitely an expert.

Or we can just say that you are a lot more knowledgeable about knives than I.

Among the blind the one-eyed is king, but thanks fishinfool. ;-)

That's one way of putting it.

Here are my Sanrenmu/LAND/Bee folders. I have more that are a cut below in quality (DX grade) and others that are more premium (Benchmade, Dozier) including some fixed blades. I'll try and post them later.

It's very common to X-ray packages in customs.
