Rook Clone -- Singfire FT 2.8 Amp

Saw this on Fasttech:

I don't see the appeal. I'd rather use the Solarstorm K2 or Trustfire TR-A9-2. The cells for those will cost about the same or much less, but will have more power.

Basic Flashlight. It turns on and turns off. No special features in this light. It’s over priced compared to other lights with multiple modes.

Erum? what are you talking about? it doesnt make sense to me!

it has modes, and its not expensive at $25.. tell me 3 other Multi modes lights that take 3x14500 batteries for much less than $25...

(waiting)

welcome to BLF

The batteries don't make sense. Less power for more money, charging hassles, few battery choices. Why would you want a 3x14500 light??

Go for Solarstorm K2!!!
(but may not fit some protected cell)

Trustfire TR-A9-2 has bad heat management.

I was referring to Erum`s post.. (not saying that this any good or whatever, just replying to the post above mine)
He said it has No modes, and that is Too expensive.. I don`t think so.

I know. And you're right that the flashlight itself isn't expensive. The battery configuration makes it expensive though. Three 14500's provides less power than a single good 18650 or 26650, but costs more. I would consider a 3x14500 light if I came into a free windfall of new 14500's though.

You`re right as well.. 3x 14500 could make it expensive (if you don`t already have a few around)

I do tend to agree about 14500's making the light less attractive. I do like that it will run on Ni-mh's and the Rook does have a very beautiful beam pattern. If you can bore out the center just a tad, an 18500 can be used. These are $1.50 each and seem to be as good as new.
