Very good question! I have looked for them without any luck myself. A high quality buck driver would likely be more efficient driving a 9V than a 6V emitter.
What can we use to drive this 9v MT-G2? If that Dipper D19 group buy happens, I’d like to use this instead of driving the heck out of a XM-L2 U3. Cutter-MTG-220CUSTR-9V
Easy, high amp solution would be to use a zener moded Blf FET driver with three cells. Not sure if the 9V version can take that much current. I’m wondering if a lm2596 based converter would be efficient at 9V output. I got sixty something % efficiency stepping down a 2S LiPO to power an XML. An infinitely variable 9v, MTG2 would be nice:)
