Thermal performance.
First image at start of charge, 4 PowerEx AA 2700 NiMH cells fully discharged. All 4 channels 1000 mA charge rate.

About one hour into charge.

About two hours into charge.

About two and half hours into charge. The left most cell is showing full at this time. This should be the hottest temps as the batteries reach full charge and heat from the charging current.

Thanks for sharing!!

Thanks danaco. It looks like it will outdo any non hobby charger out their.
Where can it be bought though ?, and how much is it ? as it’s not in your post.

Thanks Ohaya.

It is also on Amazon.

Looks really nice, Smart packaging too….it should sell really good.

A group buy would be nice.

40 per case. Contact me direct for case pricing.

Thanks for the great review Danaco,

Is it acceptable to use a computer fan to cool the batteries while they are being charged or will this interfere with the heat detection capabilities of the charger.

Using a cooling fan is ok.

The charger does not use deltaT as full charge detection algorithm so external cooling is no problem. However you should not need any external cooling with this charger. Temperature is mostly monitored in case of failure of a battery or the charger in order to terminate in case of a problem.
