New Luxeon CoB arrays- 4000K 97CRI typ. 100lm/W

Huge choise of size,CCT,CRI,but 4000K, 97CRI and 100lm/W looks really like a game changer.

35.5 V typ forward voltage.

Definitely not for flashlights.

What are you talking about?

I have a 36V MT-G2 in my most recent project.

A 9mm round and uniform die, would be nice for an aspheric. Tough to get the 35V from a flashlight though...

interesting, it would need a big light to hold the chip but it would give lots of lumens per watt at good cri

the efficiency of the driver would make all the difference but this may not be very flashlight compatible in the end

how much do they cost?

I can’t tell if that was meant to be serious.

Oh wow. Thanks for the picture djozz. Do you think this LED would be good for home lighting?

And, thanks for the topic led4power. Looks like a great LED.

Nice to see Bridgelux has some competition in this area. Their 97CRI Vero series are nice (I used 3 Vero10s when retrofitting a fluorescent desk magnifier). My next project will be a bathroom fixture so I’ll keep these new Luxeons in mind. Looks like they’re priced similar to Veros but so-far out-of-stock at Digi-Key.

It’s perhaps worth noting that Philips rates their 97CRI Luxeons as 90CRI minimum. Bridgelux rates theirs as 95CRI minimum. Compared to the typical 82CRI (if that) CFLs that people shove into their light fixtures at home, either of these LEDs would be a great upgrade.

I used this.

I still can't tell.

Nice specs! .. But we need some of those specs in a smaller emitter with a more flashlight friendly Vf..
