AliExpress 5-Day Refund Window

I ordered some stuff from Simon, but he was unable to send batteries. I couldn’t get a refund until after claiming that the rest of the order (2x Convoy S6) had been recieved.

After recieving the flashlights, I wanted to see if the battery shipment status had changed, so I did not rush to get a refund.

Sure enough AliExpress has now removed my ability to open a dispute, even though the seller acknowledged the inability to ship the batteries.

Just a warning for consumers: make sure to follow your order in AliExpress very carefully and if you need a refund do it* immediately* after receiving orders.

Is Simon working with you to refund you ?
Will be disappointed if he doesn’t, as it’s after sales service like this that ultimately defines companies as reputable or shonky.

It’ll be interesting to see what Simon can do. Much of AliExpress process is out of his hands, but maybe between the two of us we can work it out.

I've found Simon very accommodating. I don't like Aliexpress either, and don't want to deal with any vendor that deals exclusively within it.

Wow. Let me get this straight: you ordered some stuff including batteries, you were charged for the batteries, for whatever reason those batteries never shipped and now they won’t credit you for the cost of the batteries that never shipped? How is that not fraud?

I’m trying to file a dispute with Aliexpress right now on an order I never received. When I hit the submit button it doesn’t do anything, just stays on the same page.

To OP, if you’ve confirmed reception, you can’t do anything through the system now since you confirmed to have received the (full) order in good condition. The payment has been released to the seller and no longer can be disputed.

Now you can only contact the seller through messaging and work things out from there.

I doubt Simon purposedly wanted to commit fraud, but keep us posted nevertheless. There’s always the Aliexpress feedback system to use as leverage.

For southland, that just seems to be some script problem, try different browsers or play with you script settings.

Let it be known that Simon just emailed me saying he’ll refund me via PayPal.

The purpose of this post is alert folks to the difficulty of dealing with AliExpress. It’s a highly “digitized” marketplace, with both Sellers and Buyer somewhat limited in what “non-normal practices” can do.

Thought of Simon as a stand up type of guy and further validates that positive assessment

Moral of the story. Place your order with Simon via PayPal or email and skip AliExpress altogether.

Simon is a class act. Thank goodness he doesn't get discouraged easily. I admire the way he over came a certain members efforts to get him banned from BLF.

All I hear is how Simone is stand up guy but my last order from him is a disaster in progress!

It’s good to see Simon is going to make this right. Kudos.

In the interests of full disclosure…
My transaction with him did not see delivery of the items, yet he made a full refund and is willing to attempt to deliver the items to me again if I desire so and he has had suffice time to chase down the postage investigation upon his side.

Maybe the issue is similar for you, maybe not, yet despite being dismayed at not receiving my torches, batteries and charger, I appreciate that it’s the postal agents fault, not his.
