This time came the big brother of the multitool i reviewed time ago. It does not have a name. Strange. It is nice that it does not want to be something it is not. Lets call it FKT-21514Instead of 9 in 1 folding blue ... Came from TinyDeal as usual rather fast. Ok could be here 2 days faster but still pretty good.
Like the small brother in military jungle camouflage pattern this one is punching blue anodized. Very easily noticeable. Would have liked a black version but it's not available. Still better than slimey green by a great margin. It does feature the same tools (some redundant) like the little brother. I like the fact it uses torx screws so i can tighten it when needed as opposed to non user serviceable bolted ones found around. It is well built. There is nothing much to not like on it apart that it does not lock when fully closed to compact form. Another issue worth to mention is the pliers head. I was hoping i could cut a zip tie with the cutting portion of the head. Nope, i can chhew it all day but a cut i could not get. That's the only major drawback if someone care for that use. However your sample might do the trick as opposed to mine. Who knows. Clearly it was not meant to be a small wire or zip ties clipper/cutter.
The finish is decent, feels quite strong in hand and looks like it can take some abuse. However it will not sustain heavy abuse like a quality fixed pliers only tool would. The knife came rather dull compared to dedicated knifes i usually buy. The knife tool looks decent for a multitool. Size wise might get you in big troubles if you live in UK territory. Otherwise the blade will scare probably only an elderly lady who will probably even attempt to whack you with the usual junk loaded handbag. Fear factor 0, usfefulness 7/10. The saw pair looks decent and are very sharp. The rest of the tools is the usual thing found elsewhere.
Summary:
Do i reccomend it? Well, it's my first big multitool. I feel it is worth it's asking price but i sincerely don't know how competition at that price range stacks up. My advice would be to get one if:
- Like the color or you're not bothered with it
- You do not require an excessively robust knife in it
- You do not require cutting tiny wires or zip ties with.
- Plan to use the included holster.
I plan to gift this one to someone of my relatives since the tiny one perfectly suits my multitool needs perfectly and it is even pocketable which this one hardly is (anything that size will probably never be EDC material, also no1 calimed that).
I will probably buy some other multitools in the future but not anytime soon. I hope you find this review good enough. I do not get deep like i would with flashlights but try to tell my feelings and the most important things about the item.

I happen to be a fan of multitools. However I'm still on the holy grail for a nice multitool with locking implements. So far the only one I own is a Leatherman Wave knockoff by "Mammut Fine Tools" Corp, which I would actually recommend. It has a decent liner lock for the 4 main implements. Any other alternatives out there?
The Mammut really is nice - mine arrived the same day as a Leatherman Blast so my dad got the Mammut - I might just get myself another one of those. Unless someone comes up with an alternative. Since there are currently three knives, five multitools and 14 lights on the desk in front of me, I really don't need another multitool so it'll have to be a budget one :)
Let them laugh now. But they'll thank you if they are ever trapped in a coal mine with you for a few months. Or simply if the car breaks down at night.
I recall seeing the same exact multi-tool at my local "Christmas Tree Shop" for around the same price. I liked the tech look of the handles but the bright color and mainly the size turned me off from getting it. That and the fact that it didn't look very high quality and I figured I'd never carry it so why bother. Glad some one here checked it out and gave it a quick review. Thanks! :)
These reviews I found of the Ganzo G201 and G101 (DB and ED have the G201). But they are non-locking and Jekostas warned about their quality in general.
The gerber with the spike is far more hilarious though, and does what not other tool can (well except the gerber original) when you need to set up some explosives.
I have the Swisstool and Leathermans, and the swisstool is definitely worth the money since I can't imagine a cheap copy approaching the finish on it. I'm thinking of the getting the wave clone, but for some reason I'm not a huge fan of the wave even though in theory it has the best design and all the right features.
Or I can pony up and get the Tekut. It look pretty sweet.

I think you'll like the Mammut. Exquisite lifetime craftsmanship it is not. But for $10 you a get useful mulitool and locking implements that works just like the Leatherman Wave. Good enough for me!
The first one I got took about 6 weeks (May have been more) to arrive, the second one around two weeks. The first one, I gave to my father as a Leatherman Blast arrived on the same day (Thanks Huny74!). Then I realised I had a use for a less valuable but good multitool.
It's funny that you ordered a tool with inside opening tools and got one with the better outside opening ones. Usually it's the other way around with these places.
