Broken CQG S1

Hi all.

I ordered a CQG S1 (from www.cnqualitygoods.com) through this group buy .
First I received a CQG S2. The seller offered to compensate this mistake by sending me a regular S1 (so with a CW emitter, not the XP-G2 NW one).
Now after 1.5 months my CQG S1 doesn’t work anymore. I have never dropped it as far as I can remember. It was on my keychain so it might have been tossed around a bit (although not that much, I keep my keys in my pocket 90% of the time).
What would you do in this situation? Contact the seller or just buy a new light? I don’t really know what kind of warranty is to be expected.
I really wanted the CQG S1 (XP-G2) because I like the style/size a lot. I would consider getting a CGQ S1 & S3 NW (coming soon) if my experience with this seller were somewhat more positive… But it looks like it might not be worth the money/risk/hassle…

tl;dr: a flashlight died after 1.5 months. Contact the seller or just look for a new one?

Thanks in advance!

Question is if you want to go through all kinds of trouble for a less than $20 flashlight....

Usually I just do the repair myself, but with everything press-fit in the cqg, I suspect this to be quite impossible.

CNQG is unfortunately not famous for its communication skills, but they (Ric) do seem to intend things well, so I would have another go at trying to get it fixed/replaced.

I'd figure out first if the problem is in the head or the tail . Run a paperclip across the battery and the body with the tail off first .

The problem is in the head, the switch works like it should. Too bad I don’t have the knowledge/materials to start repairing it myself. Also, it looks like it will be a though task to disassemble the light.
