So for $14.23 it looks to be a good deal for an R2 LED. I just wonder if it can tailstand. I have the SmallSun ZY-C41, which appears to be an identical body, and it can tailstand. It is ugly but well made. It is a bit large for an AA light, the largest one I own. I really like the spring loaded post-style battery contact in the tailswitch. I also wonder if this Skyray is really an R2, as DealExtreme sells the same light with an XPE-Q3 supposedly.

That light is on my wish list...lol. It is actully my next light that i was going to get after my other orders come in.

Ah is that right? Well if you get it, make sure to get it from KD, because DX's version has a Q5 supposedly and KD's is supposedly an R2.

If you take a look at the reviews on DX it seems that the lights run only 14500's.....and then you have some owners say that it works well with nimh and lith chemistry's.

Yes I know, that sort of worries me, because I don't have any 14500's and I'm not really interested in a light that can only use them.
