Battery stuck !!! Please help. The back is solid, so only one way in , front. Battery has been in for 2 years . I put Japanese sword oil on the top of the battery and let it seep down all night - still no movement .

Any suggestions please!!! :~

Do you have a strong magnet?

I tried the only one I have - nothing !

Thanks for the suggestion.

Alkaline battery?

I remember reading a trick here that helped me remove a leaky battery from an Olight i3. Try duct taping the light to the side of a hammer with the battery facing downwards and whack the hammer a few times onto some concrete.

You can tie a 1ft cord into the lanyard hole and twirl it around very fast, but please be careful while doing so.

If you can get grip on the AAA’s nipple top, you might have some luck as well.

Not being skilled with tools. I did the oil, hammer, finally the drill. It was a nasty event. but got the battery out! After I got it out, I found the battery had leaked down to the bulb and screwed it all up. So after all the work, I wasnt able to save the light. Think I did the wd40 soak. Drill & screwdriver, and pliers. I spent more time messing with a $15 light than it was worth. Guess I liked the challenge.

Cheers! Was in an alkaline though?? We want to know! Got any pics? :stuck_out_tongue:

Uh oh!

You put Japanese sword oil on a Chinese flashlight ?

I’m betting you didn’t do really well in history class - you’re lucky that thing didn’t burst into flames and malicious spirits didn’t fill the room!

Guys - alkaline, Duracell.

Pictures coming. Damn thing ruining my day ! lol

I appreciate all the comments. Great.

any ideas how to download pics ???? sorry , computer lacking !

!flashlight 007!

It has to be very small to work here. I prefer www.imgur.com because you can use it anonymously and without file size limitations. Drag your picture on top of the website, click upload. It will give you a link to copy. Back in this website, click the picture icon and paste the link.

Use this and pull it out

Im ready to drill - is that safe ? Any danger. Driving me nuts. Drill ???

Drill slowly and make sure the flashlight is held securely.

Oh, and dont eat the battery dust

Thanks……

Drill, baby, drill!

Inertial force with a hammer like that can work very well. Sounds like your already going with a drill tho.

did it work

Thanks
