TangsFire HD-2010 Flashlight deal - $24.99 / £15.69 / €18.89

A thread for anyone to talk about this deal / light, which unless I’m mistaken is rather good. Not going to get cheaper as they are already selling it at a loss for this price :open_mouth: .

Looks like a good deal alright, shame they don’t have these in stock at their UK warehouse yet.

Only for black colour.
Great flashlight, I believe it is the dd version.

Bit of a lottery lately, but most people have received a DD version.

Ones I've been seeing are DD, but I see variations of the next mode memory time out all over the place. Really, really, annoying... Think it's been published to piggyback a resistor across a cap to reduce it on this driver.

Spend the extra couple bucks and get a good one .Don't cheap out and screw yourself. It's a 30$ light..

get one of the good ones or don't bother .

Any idea where to buy that good one you speak of?

I thought the tangsfire was the good one?

I agree that it can be foolish to jump at the cheapest price for a light like this but I also find it hard to believe that there is such a thing as a guaranteed “good” HD2010 even if you pay more. Please post a link with a comment like that because the question anyone is going to be asking next is “where do I get one of those good ones”

It’s always going to be a lottery if you ask me, I have 4 hd2010s from various sources and they literally span the spectrum of quality. No tangsfire but I was under the impression that this one was getting above average reports from people recently. The best I’ve seen is the Ultrafire XM-L2 version from Willbuying.com but that’s a fair bit more expensive than this one and I’m honestly more inclined to putting that down to being lucky and getting a decent sample rather than just spending the extra money. The “good” driver in particular seems to be the hardest thing to track down, so i wouldn’t even bother getting hopes up on that one.

hehe… jaded hd2010 buyers aren’t a fun bunch to be around

Edit: had a bit of a closer look at the product photos and the reflector in this light does look a bit dodgy/different. Doesn’t look particularly smooth/reflective plus the shelf area around the base looks to be wider than normal? I may just be imagining things since it’s late so take that for what it’s worth…again who knows if these photos are any indication at all of the quality of the actual item. I just hope they don’t start cheaping out on plastic reflectors for HD2010s…. :zipper_mouth_face: …I’ve said too much…don’t want to give them any ideas…

Yeah, kind of messed up, but “Tricked” it into working … 8)

Maybe I’ve been lucky but the 3 HD2010’s I have all have great machining and came with the good driver. Black Tangsfire from Tmart and black Fandyfire from Lightscastle about a year ago and a grey Tangsfire from Tmart about 6 or 8 weeks ago when they had the $6 off $30 coupon. Ordered this one also, it’s only $22.49 if you have enough Tmart points. As a matter of fact I think the grey one from 6 or 8 weeks ago might be the best but haven’t done a head to head competition. The only differences I see in the ones I have is they are not all focused exactly the same but all are good. About a year back Fasttech was selling some with 1 amp drivers.

1 hour left before the code expires or not :zipper_mouth_face: code expires sometime today, no idea when now though

Ehh, wish it was XM-L2

after one week the reflector burn out and you can’t buy another!!!

yours wasn’t the tangsfire though :stuck_out_tongue:

it was no brand name but good finish

problem is the reflector with that flashlight

I've had my hands on like 10 or so of TMART HD2010's, and none had reflector problems. It is a usual budget light and needs some attention, and for a budget direct drive light specially, you have to check to be sure amps isn't going through the roof, and if it does, better not run it too long on high with the stock XML on an aluminum MCPCB. XM-L2's on copper will knock down the amps right off the bat a bit, but also protect the LED.
