Finaly finished, IR build.
the light is meant to be mounted on the camera, thus no handle.
i used 2 ledengin 5w 850nm leds, and 38mm 14* lenses, 700ma boost driver came from led supply. power comes from 3 tenergy 18650 2600mah cells.
simple on off switch, and 4 channel charge plug for balance charge using any hobby charger. i used cb mic. 4 pins plug.
i triedit at home, and the difference between, ir led build into the camera is night and day. next step to try outdoors.
Not the most beautiful thing in the world...but daggum that night vision shot is very bright!

You know you're to blame. That thread you did were you showed us some of your other builds keeps making me consider wood as a material option when planning my scratch builds.
Nice work again. Wish I had night vision equipment.
Ive been thinking about some DIY IR light to use as night vision on the cheap, just to check out what it is and how much I can squeeze out of it on the budget, those pictures look like night and day indeed, cant wait to see your outdoor shots :)!
