How to post images with the new editor? The image icon does not work.

I'd snap up this light if its below 60. :D Sadly, that'd not be the case.

I was kind of hoping this light would be more compact like the other Sunwayman V series, but instead it looks about like it is the size of a P60 light. Having read some thoughts by people who have used the variable control, I'm not sure that's the way to go anymore. I think what would be better is the M series but with better modes. Then you can set it to one of several modes and know exactly how bright it will be when it comes on. Still a nice light, even with variable. If I spend that much I would want it to be the perfect light which is why I'll probably never get it.

Yea, the looks of the M60R is killer. But the price is also really crazy.

Price? Can't see any on that web :~ (very beautiful, btw  )

I very much like sunwayman's "infinite brightness levels using magnetic ring" UI and V20C will be very hard to pass.

But I see some things I don't like and some others I am not sure I understand:

- Pulls 50ma when off??? I hope they mean something else... Maybe when "off" by the ring but "on" on the back switch...

- 438 lumens could be 700+... Even if they could provide them constantly only when using 2x16340

- ~$100...

get thee behind me, satan!

I find it hard to belive that the V20R uses 50mA in the off state. The V10R uses 13mA in the moonlight mode (which I REALLY think is excessively high already)

The M60R is a beautiful light, but SERIOUSLY OVERPRICED OMFG. Its built to a higher level with perfect machining, super smooth square threads, awesome battery holder and a great thermal design with the emitter star sitting on a thick chunk of metal directly connected to the heatsink, but its just no where close to affordable. The output is really smooth, but not very throwy compared to a catapult.. (well the sst-50 version isnt).

The V10R is a MUST have, but I'm not convinced about the V20R.

with 438 lumen I’m sure they are going for battery life but even more so, heat management. With the warranties these “premium” lights offer they would go broke repairing/replacing every light like this one they sold that was driven at 2.8a-3a due to people running it on high the entire time or tail standing it on high until it cooked itself. Frankly, being driven at 1.4a is about the highest you can go and run it until the battery is drained. It’s how they keep their reputation as premium “bulletproof” hardware and make money at the same time.

You and I would drive it at 2.8 but use high only for short bursts while using medium (1.4a) most of the time. Just like any "budget" light, that "premium" bullcrap is just as unreliable when driven at capacity for extended periods.

It's micro not milli.

well 50uA is excellent then! 50mA is bad!

The M60R SST-50 draws 47uA on standby, and this is on par. Essentially parasitic drain is irrelevant.

Sunwayman quoted 50uA (micro amp) which is good. If it's 50mA, a 2400mAh battery would be flat in 48hrs! :)

Sunwayman flashlights are really beautiful. I'm waiting for my T20C, similar to this one, but UI is more like Nitecore EX10, and the price is not bad ($78)

Just accidentally bought V20C, and looks like there is a nice gift included. This is Sunwayman R01A, 1xAAA Nichia powered flashlight. Still nothing about that on Sunwayman site. It is obviously Sunwayman version of Fenix E01. Can't wait for it to arrive :)

Did you trip over your left mouse button several tomes in a row?

There was speculation on CPF Manufacturers Corner (Sunwayman thread) what the surprise was when you purchased the new V20C. Most buyers didn't want to disclosed about it just to keep the surprise :) On some retail sites, they did state the free gift.

I'm still waiting for more places to carry this light. I will probably get one myself.

Are they these worth the cost over say, $25 for a ITP e50 or C10t? 3 times better?

I think they are well worth the price of Fenix E01.

I accidentally buy stuff all the time. I bought something once on ebay and told my wife I was watching an auction when the cat jumped on the laptop and entered a bid with two seconds to go.

Sadly, that only works once. The second time, the cat ends up on craigslist. Third time, you do.

Edit: tried to use nonexistent smile
