long run time

What lights are good for a long run time?

I like how my Trustfire F20 can run for 10 + hours at 19lumen (0.19A) and costs less than $12.

I'd like to find another an EDC light that has a really good long run time and in the lower price range.

I've been recommended the Gerber Infinity Ultra for it's 25 hour run time, but read that it's using old tech, and pretty dim at a whopping 3 lumen.

The Fenix L1D has a 25 hour runtime on low, but it's too expensive at $50. It's also made in China anyway.

4sevens Quark Mini AA R5 has some long running lower modes for $40.

The Fenix E01 is interesting but I'm wanting an AA battery light.

I'm considering the Ultrafire UF-H2B as one of my best options currently for $30 and variable brightness for long run times. I don't like the parasitic drain, however I can always just remove the battery. It can also work as a headlamp which is excellent.

Any suggestions? I know I've asked this topic before, but I hope maybe there's been some new lights spotted on DX, Focalprice, or priceangels or somewhere else.

You can wait until the Tank007 special edition BLF lights become available and can be tested. If Tank can do what they say, I think you will find the E07 will be exactly what you want. The N-light B2S will be back in stock at cnqualitygoods in July. That has outstanding run time on low, but is bit more expensive at around $30. The other light I can think of is the Xtar WK30. It was on sale via this thread for $20, but you will need to e-mail them to see if they will still give it you at that price:

Otherwise, you can pick it up for $22 including shipping at their regular website:

Xtar makes very nice lights so this is a great light for $20 though the looks aren't for everyone, but you won't have to wait.

Or the ITP SA1 with R2 - 5 lumens for 40 hours

SA1 with R5 - 6 lumens for 40 hours

EDIT : but $40

Edi-T P4 is my run time champion. I got mine from DX, but they don't list it anymore. If you put it in program mode set to the lowest level the 18650 will last for weeks no joke. Maybe you can find one someplace, I was so impressed I bought 3 before they sold out on DX.

Edi-T in Australia still lists the 3AAA version.

Get the SS C3 3 mode from Manafont. They ship fast and are a great vendor. http://www.manafont.com/product_info.php/ultrafire-full-stainless-steel-c3-cree-q5-3mode-led-flashlight-aa14500-p-4045

This torch was reveiwed by our very own admin and received stellar ratings in this thread https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/653

Be sure and only get the Manafont 3 mode version in the link posted, they are the only vendor I know of that carries this torch.

If anyone finds a vendor that still carries the Edi-T P4, I'd really appreciate a link as I'd love to pick up one or two. I own a Edi-T T11, which is programmable as well and even on a single 16340 it lasts practically forever if you set it to the lowest mode (ie. three fast clicks in high mode, which may require some practice at first; not the pre-set "low" mode). I don't have one here but current draw at the tail was something like 0.02A if memory serves.

Thanks everyone. Some really great responses here.

A Tank007 E07 with long running low and medium would be excellent. I've heard Tank007 makes good lights, and the E07 is as small as an AA light can get.

The Ultrafire C3 SS from Manafont does sound good with it's 48 hour runtime on low... estimated 5 lumen. I wonder what the medium brightness, consumption, and runtime stats would be. And a more affordable price range.

Maglite XL200 will run for 218 hours on low mode.

I'd also love to buy an Edi-T P4 if it's programmable. I let's try sending an email to Manafont to see if they can offer it. If they can't then a second option might be Lightake.com. They're not the best, but they apparently do have an EDI-T dealer contact, because they sell a lot of other EDI-T lights.
