L2-18E Extension on an L2i?

After all the questions I have asked here regarding throwers I have decided to get the MP1.

Trying to get as best value for money as I can.

I will get the Masterpiece Pro 1 Combo on Solarforce sales, which comes with an L2i - which is said (and most have proven) to be compatible with 18650..

So I won't have to get another L2 body with an extension (since I like the MP1 running on 2X18650)... will the L2 - 18E (pictured below) work with the L2i? If it does work, does anyone foresee any problem with an L2i + L2 extension?

Will they look nice? (knurling. color the same) - or will I be better off buying an L2 body + extension?.. MP1 price of $44 is about 3-4 days wage for me in the Philippines - haha sorry for that drama!

That is why I really want to be sure I'm making a good choice, in terms of value for money..

All inputs/suggestions will be greatly appreciated

For those who will have the same dilemma

Got an email/reply from solarforce, they say no go.. L2i and the L2 extension are not compatible..

but they gave me a good alternative - an MP1+L2+L2 extension+switch set for $53.99

Pulled the trigger, and now the wait...

How do you like the light? have you tried using an xm-l dropin?

Also thinking of getting one but planning of using my xm-l drop in.

The Masterpiece Pro 1 does what it was made to do - throw! It scratches that thrower itch that every flashaholic gets, and for me it stops that itch. I can now shop and focus on some "useful" lights for me.

I have a Solarforce L2 + Manafont UF XML T6 3 mode combo, and as most owners can attest, it is blindingly bright
