About my black 26650 King Kong 4500 mAH can't find info

I can’t find this battery on the internet, is it new, or is this just labeling?

I ordered a black, protected, 4000mah King Kong and received it labeled as 4500 mah, is this a good thing, a great battery, and what does the EVVA mean?

Where is the date on it?

Can you provide a link to where you got it?

It is from Mountain Electronics, a site that is praised here, so my first assumption is that it is just a new model, but between all the weird stuff with batteries and labeling and such, I would like you battery guys to fill me in on it.

I can’t find the 4500 on the internet.

I didn't know Richard had these.

These are just rewrapped King Kong's with a button top with a version that also has protection.

I don't see a 4500 mAh version.

You linked to the unprotected black 4000, my link is to the protected black 4000.

The one I received is exactly the same one, black, protected and the same label, except for saying 4500mAH where the 4000mAH on the one pictured.

Is this a good thing? Is this just a newer version, but why can’t I find it mentioned anywhere on the internet?

Maybe a typo by the printer?

today’s new arrivals at fasttech has a 4500mAh 26650 with an evva label, so if king kong is made by the same company…

Yes, Evva puts the label on them and adds the protection circuit, the cell underneath is the gold King Kong ICR26650.t I didn't even notice the labeling change! I'll have to update my pictures. King Kong cells are rated at 4000 mAh, but HKJ has tested them at 4300+ mAh. I don't know if I've ever seen one test at 4500mAh.

Update those pictures, but please don't price match Fasttech's price for this battery.

Lol, that price is a little steep coming from FT. I pay customs fees and import duties, U.S. taxes, and can sell them for much less than that.

Cell inside is probably new DLG 4500mah,just like in keeppower.

He doesn't have them. Out of ST"OCK. geesh

Can you use the flat top or protected button top versions? Both of those are in stock.

It'll be my first for the HD2010 group buy.

Read where flat top was loose fit. dunno though.

Prefer unprotected.

So could this 4500 be a slightly better version of the 4000?

What is DLG?

Theirs are rated at 13A discharge, though. Yours are only 6A.

Their cells are good, but not Panasonic or Sanyo good. Unfortunately Panasonic doesn't make 26650's. Many of us wish they would as the capacity would be amazing.

I've done 7.5A without tripping it, but EVVA told me that they only rate them at 6A. This has 3 MOSFETs so it should handle 7+ but I don't think that 13A is realistic at all.

Not that I believed the 13A claim. Just pointing it out.

What battery is inside it? It's from China. DLG makes a couple 26650's that look like they may put out enough amps, but I can't find anything that says what the capacity it. The Tensai LIC26650 has 4500 mAh and hits 9A, but that's still a big 4A short. I can believe 4500 mAh, and I can believe 13A, but I can't believe 4500 mAh AND 13A without some proof.
